Whilst the design looks good initially being an camera+solar in 1 device, I feel like placement needs to be perfect, like if I had this in my driveway I wouldn't get as much sunlight as one that I can adjust to be on the side which keeps mine topped up optimally.
But does it really need direct sunlight? Unless you have heaps of daily triggers?
I had auto sense light at front door for over 6 years in fully shaded light and that was enough to keep it trickle charged.
Available again for $155.70.
Gone again
Works with original homebase?
My other solar camera eufy is late recording the first few seconds of any events. What about this one ?
Doesn't this apply to all Eufy cams? Or are solar worse?
Yes, it will completely miss someone of they're out of the frame before the camera wakes up. That's the disadvantage of battery cameras.
Meh, I'm not convinced with these things.
Had 5 covering my house. Had to mount the ones on the southern side of the house very high to catch enough sun. But the one at the front, facing approx WSW would have to be taken down and charged every couple of months.
That wasn't too much of a concern, what is/was, was the brown marks (almost like burn marks) from the lights coming on lots. Seeing that after a couple of months I decided to turn the lights off and just use the IR.
The other issue is the flaking plastic on top of the solar panel after about 1½ - 2 years.
But hey, they've done their job for me, and the house is now sold.Single unit is sold out. They still have 2 pack for $410
