This is not Homebase 4. It’s homebase 3 with a “4 camera pack”

Thanks for this. I was about to start cursing the fact I bought a home base 3 on the last deal.

    • What's the difference?

      • +30

Last deal didnt have the typo

    • The eufy Solocam S220 with Homebase 4 Camera Kit has you covered.

      Thats coppied from specs.

      • Yes but it needs this treatment: "The eufy Solocam S220 with Homebase - 4 Camera Kit"
        Just bad punctuation.

      • On the Eufy website, it mentions Homebase 3

    • What's the difference?

      edit never mind, Homebase 4 doesn't exist…

      So you prefer cia?

It's an interesting case, if the CCP does spy, might it allow a back door some how into our nation's cyber security network, and therefore in the long run cause more harm for our nation's security? I have no idea about these things but curious, is it absolutely, 100% guaranteed, that the CIA is spying?

        • Yes, they have a back door to your CPU lmao

      • Yes

    • +5

I'd rather the Chinese spying on me, they're not going to be reporting back to the Australian government, unlike a 5-eyes nation

To be clear, I'd rather no one but if someone has to, I'd rather it was the Chinese.

      • What do you think the Chinese has to benefit by spying on us though? Is the CCP really interested in hoarding an individual's private data to build a database for possible use in the future or is it to access federal networks?

        • Probably the same thing that every country (including Australia) has always had to benefit from spying for all of human history. Only now it's trivially easy.

  • Dude ya gots to fix the title, there ain't no Homebase 4

  • Seems like a lot of us clicked just to get the specs of the “HomeBase 4”. Maybe next year

  • Has anyone got a recommendation for a pack like this with a video doorbell? Is it just best to get this and a video doorbell separate?

  • Any different spec wise for this pack of 4, apart from the missing solar?
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/eufy-home-security-camera-bundle…?

    • Nice price on the Bunnings link. No homebase. No solar capability

Can anyone comment between the difference between Eufy and reolink for a home base and security system with doorbell? Would anyone recommend one brand over the other?

10% off ultimate him giftcard at aldi for the goodguys in 13days. Just before this deal ends

  • 'It can detect humans and faces, sending you smart alerts. Chat with visitors or warn off intruders using 2-way audio. ' Does that also set an alarm off? My neighbour got robbed (while the whole family was sleeping) and he had cameras around the house. They captured the two robbers, except they were totally unidentifiable as they were totally covered from head to toe. The video/pics did not have any glimpse of their faces.

    • It is activated by movement, so other than some potential lag or delay it should activate and record for a set period of time dependent on your settings (eg maximum battery life or maximum recording, and level of sensitivity).

Mine is set between 1030pm and 5am to also alarm on a schedule, but the is can also be manually activated eg if you are away during the day.

      • thanks

  • how do these compare to Tapo's C510? I've got them around the house but found that the AI detection misses a few times …

  • Anyone have these installed under their eaves can comment if built-in solar panel is effective?

    • +1

      Solar panels generally require sun.

    • I wouldn't want to install these under eves. They need a few hours of sunlight to charge.

I have S330 and installed them on the fascia.

      • How did it go through last summer? Any issues with it being in direct sun?

        • only had them for 4 months…i've read some bad reviews of them stop working after 12 months/warranty…so will see.

One of them is in the area with not much sunlight, and high traffic. The battery is at 46% after 4 months with 3 being in winter.

  • does this work well now with google assistant and routines - i want to be able to arm/disarm them when i leave the house/come back

    • Do I have to manually track this or does it hit OzB often?

  • go here and you can subsecibe for eufy notifications

  • I’m trying to sell 2 x brand new Solocam S220s for $250.

    • No homebase?

      • No just the two cameras. They’re usually $250 each but selling two for that price. Brand new and sealed

  • Warning: Homebase 3 will cook SSD's placed in it. Came across a reddit thread which linked to this 3D model.

    • Original price is $799 and now $699
I don't know why Goodguys says reduce from $1199, even Eufy's website says $1199 as well

  • Can these cameras be charged via cable?

  • with eBay plus $649
