Key Features

3 Stainless Steel Blades for a Fresh Shave Every Day
The three-blade shaver features stainless steel blades crafted from the same high-quality Japanese steel used in Samurai swords. Known for its exceptional durability, this steel is used in both the outer foil and the three floating blades, ensuring the perfect balance between a close, precise shave and superior skin protection.

3D Flexible Shaver Head that Adapts to Your Face
The 3D flexible head moves both vertically and horizontally in four directions, while the six-directional floating blades adapt precisely to the contours of the face and neck. This design ensures a close shave with fewer strokes, reducing skin irritation for a smoother, more comfortable experience.

Fast & Powerful
24,000 Cross-Cutting Actions Per Minute. Powered by a high-speed rotor motor, this shaver delivers 24,000 cross-cutting actions per minute, ensuring a powerful shave—perfect for tackling thick stubble. It offers Panasonic’s signature close shave at an even more budget-friendly price.

USB Charging (Type-C) Makes It Easy To Carry
Charge with ease using the built-in USB-C port, allowing you to power up with a common charger and pack lighter for extended trips. Plus, the lock mode prevents accidental activation in your bag, ensuring hassle-free travel.

IPX7 Waterproofing* for Wet/Dry Versatility
Designed for both wet and dry use, this shaver delivers a great shaving experience whether you're on the go or using foam or gel for a smoother finish. Cleaning is effortless—simply rinse it under the tap, while the water shutters allow for a thorough clean without removing the cartridge head.
*Based on immersion test (30 minutes in water up to 1 m depth)

Will this be good for shaving a head ?

    • +3

      which head?

      • +4

Why is that one so hairy

  • Would this be too painful for private bits?

  • Does it give same quality shave as 3 or 5 blades razor?

  • This model looks very similar to a Panasonic model I bought in Japan a few months ago. Though this one would be better because it has the USB charge port instead of the properitry one Mine has. Mine works real well with the lithium battery and I reckon this would be a great budget shaver.

    • I think we bought the same one in Japan. Performance is very good.

I was thinking why wouldn’t you use a USB C charging port? Would save Panasonic $2 not to supply a charger.

Is your charger also an awkward shape? Eg sticks out 7cm from the wall socket and therefore it drops because you also have to use an international power adapter?

  • Last time i bought a Panasonic shaver, the shaver head chipped in 1.5yrs leaving me with micro scratches all around my face. I now buy Braum instead and it lasted for 5yrs without changing the shaver head.

    • Last longer as Braun don't used Japanese sword stainless steel.

    • I bought a Panasonic ES8103S 12 years ago. Over time the shave didn't feel so close and I bought a Braun (cheap 3 series) around 7 years ago.

Never thought much of the Braun from day one, but it was adequate and took over as the main shaver, with the Panasonic continuing to be used on travel.

Yesterday I discovered a tear in the Braun's foil, ending its career. I won't miss it, though it did last longer than expected.

Meanwhile the old Panasonic is still going, and I decided to buy this Panasonic 500.
