  • Is it possible to just buy the batteries? I have one of these chargers but want some more batteries. Seems cheaper to buy the charger and battery together.

    • +1

      Are these batteries any good?

      • +2

They are reasonable. The capacity is lower than the Xtar and Jugee batteries. Imuto's support is pretty good though, I had 1 marginal battery in the kit of 8, it didn't want to charge at first, but then it eventually started charging. After about 2 months, that dodgy battery died. I contacted Imuto's website support email directly (Amazon doesn't give support after a certain time period), and they asked for the Amazon order number and a video of the charging issue. They then replaced the failed battery. I was happy with their direct support, which is rare from battery brands.

Interesting. Thanks. Might give it a miss. I'll keep an eye out for eneloops deals.

  • HAPPY10/APP10 coupon code both not working

    • Over $59 spend I believe.

    • There is a minimum spend of $59 on those codes

  • $10 off has minimum spend of $59

    • Are the batteries better and more reliable? or you are recommending because it is a few dollars cheaper?

      • Price mainly. Have a few sets of the Homesuit (you can see my review on Amazon)
I haven't tried the Imuto AA's but there is another review with lower capacity than I got out of the Homesuits.
I think they are going to be pretty much the same overall though.

I did try the Imuto AAAs but returned them because they dont maintain 1.5V thoughout their discharge so don't see the point of the extra cost over NiMH.

    • Yuck, show me how are you going to get support if the Homesuit battery fails? Amazon won't give you support after a certain period and tells you to contact the manufacturer. And I can't find a website.

      • Since when? I've never had a problem with Amazon support during the warranty period, or you can contact the seller via Amazon.
They also provide some support emails on their store page

Whats the difference between them anyway? Both some random seller shipped via Amazon.

        • Go and check your prior Amazon purchases. See if you can request support from Amazon for a defective product. The option is there until a certain time point, I believe it disappears after 1 month, after the return window ends.

Imuto has their own website and direct support to end users. I can say that with batteries, Amazon directed me to contact Imuto directly for support, and this was about 3.5 months the purchase.

          • @Sleepycat3: I haven't had to use for batteries but I always just get on live chat and they help me out

          • @Sleepycat3: Huh ? The 1 month option is for returns, it has nothing to do with warranty - when you have a failed item during the warranty period, then just contact Amazon and get the ball rolling.

  • Anyone know of a good deal on something similar that charges AAA as well?

    • I believe the same brand also sell 8 x AAA combo. On AliExpress, you can find the similiar with 4 x AA and 4 x AAA

    • Dont know what deals there are but Xtar has chargers that will do AA and AAA, and also ones that will do these lithiums and NiMH.

BC8 and L4 can do both chemistries, the LC8, L8 and LC4 can only do lithiums.
