Dropped from $14.85 to $12.50 on 20/8. Making it a very good value option. At this price I will grab it instead of Chef's Secretz $19.50, Select $27 only goes down to $21 nowadays at Coles (last purchased for $16 last year).
Comparing to home brand Basmati rice (which is quite good) but $18 for 5kg.

I don't mind them but did you know even Basmati Rice are Low GI?
I've heard it's more what you eat it with (protein, healthy fats) and the glycaemic load (how much rice) that makes the biggest difference in metabolic response than the rice type

How does this compare with Maharajah's Choice Basmati rice for taste?
I always wait for the Alishaan Basmati to come down at Woolies, seems to come down to half price every few weeks. Great basmati especially when it's half off, comparable to the India Gate at my local Indian grocery IMO. I think it might be on special this current catalogue actually.
