    7600X + mobo for $550 bad deal

  • +8

    Terrible deal… 7600X $230 max and the B650M DS3H is just kinda crap…

    • Combo means the mobo is usually the crappy one.

    • DS3H is not crap and is one of the best boards at its price range (check the tier graphs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naX-DnKekCM)

As for the deal - not great, I got a 7600 + equivalent tier mobo 18 months ago for $425 - I know this is an X, but the X is not worth $114 more than the plain, especially not this far along.

Not good enough at $539 with a 7600X. Waiting for an AliExpress 7700 or something similar paired with an Aorus B650M Elite AX is a much better choice. Normally the DS3H is too close in price to the Aorus Elite AX to justify saving the money.

      • with the current price you can get the 7600x at they are charging you $262 for the ds35, just pay an extra $20 and get the Gigabyte B850 gaming

Had a B450 DS3H. Let's just say I don't buy cheap Gigabyte boards anymore. Couldn't run my Corsair vengeance ram stable at its XMP preset.

    • Had Gigabyte B550I before and it can refuse to be turned on suddenly. Sent to RMA and said the board is fine. Comes back for a few days and happen again… What the heck?

Will never buy a Gigabyte MB again personally.

You gotta rule out other parts, could be power supply, ram, GPU, burnt connector or cable etc

Previous machine sits in previous generation (DDR3, Intel gen 4) so no spare parts to test. I did borrow a PSU from my friend and eventually only a new ASUS MB saved my day. All the components from the malfunction MB has been working well for a few years by now.

That's why I can confidently make that statement.

Anyway got a cheap Gigabyte ATX MB in my very old computer which did stay for a decade so that's why I leave that judgement to myself only as I'm a ITX preferred user atm.

@Mild October: Yeah just send it back again, I would take a full video of the rig working fine with another mb.

  • Will take the bite IFF it is a ITX board.

  • Guys, you are out of the game for a long while already. Stop bring up bad deals and look around the other competitors

You can literally get the mobo + CPU for more than $60 cheaper separately. Terrible deal

  • Looks expensive. Month ago got 7600x for $270 (eBay) and ASUS PRIME B650M-A WIFI mobo for $155 (Centre Com).

NOT the cheapest, not even close. Even buying separately is cheaper. Terrible. DO NOT BUY.
