  • I don't think the RC(1) work with drones using RC2?

Always buy latest version of drone in the same series IMHO.

  • +1

Got the last one in stock. Thanks, OP.

    • +1

Question, how do you know you got the last one in stock? When I check the page, I am still able to buy it/add to my cart

      • Because it showed only one left in stock. After I placed the order it became "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months"

        • Ah yes, I can see that now. Thank you

  • +1

    buy first, think later

    • The ozbargain way

  • +2

Duh i have mini2 already but this is super nice i dont need to use my mobile phone

    • Got one too for the RC. I have the Mavic 2 Zoom as well.

  • wtf sold out already

Bro the Digi direct site is crashing can a few of you leave for a bit

  • Been watching this for very long and missed … untrue

  • Good find op. Crazy price. That didnt take long to sell out.

  • Still available though Amazon Business at this price

    • Any other Drone deals in Amazon Business?

      • +1

        Not that I can see

  • +3

  • +1

    shopback 14% cashback?

  • +1

    Back in stock

    • +1

rather buy from digidirect though cheaper and don't have to wait 1-2 months for delivery

      • +3

Who said they have stock? Digidirect is very terrible with stock update on their website

      • Amazon has peace of mind for return and refund

  • +2

    Bought 1 to try.

I got a spark, still flying strong, but it's annoying to connect to the phone all the time! .

    • I still got my spark , but man the connection dramas make it so unenjoyable :( do you have the same experience?

      • yes, using the cable is much better when i first got it, but not you can only connect with wifi, make the view very laggy and unclear !!!

  • +1

Got one. Thanks OP. 14% Shopback for toys? Hope so.

    • yes , finger cross!

      • Shopback tracked $0 (No code was used, card payment.)

        • +1

          cz order havent confirmed

    • Interesting.. it does fall under the Toys and Games category.

    • Anyone got cb yet ?

      • Mines been delivered this morning but still only showing in click history with Cash Rewards.

      • Yes but only tracked $1.25

    • Tried cash rewards and told it's classed as an electronic not a toy.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Back in stock. But you really should consider the DigiDirect deal instead.

    • I did.. I cancelled and switched over :)

    • for the $20 price difference I still think Amazon is better even I bought from digidirect. Amazon warranty claim is much easier. and you can buy 2.5% off gift card from shopback makes it only $11 price difference

      • +1

Plus digi will just cancel half the orders..

        • Yeah, mine just got canned

  • It is still on

  • Last year the combo version was $607 at the Goodguys.

  • Any discounts on the care refresh plan?

  • awesome deal!.. Only kicker of using this for work is need get a drone license etc.. in Victoria I briefly looked cost around $1000 for the course etc… Anyone know the cheapest/best place or way to get commercial drone license?

    • +1

You can check out Droneit, I did mine with Suasrov, which was pre expensive. Will also have AROC included as well

      • Thanks Inyokuchi!

Also there is a big bunch of rules i discovered from the Casa website:

"You must not fly your drone in a populous area.

A populous area is anywhere people are living or gathered for a purpose. If your drone fails and falls, it could pose a risk to the life, safety or property of a person in the area.

    Populous areas can include:

    residential areas
    parks
    beaches
    roads
    cars
    footpaths
    city areas
    festivals
    sporting events
    weddings.
You can't fly over people at any time – no matter how high you fly above them.

You must keep your drone at least 30 metres away from people or anywhere a person could be, such as in a house or a car.

Major public events are often policed to make sure the public are safe. Leave your drone at home – live in the moment and enjoy these live events.

Many iconic buildings and tourism sites are also located in restricted airspace, making them no-fly areas. For example, Sydney Harbour and surrounding areas."

.. so if you buy one of these.. where are you going to fly it? just wandering

    • +1

Also has to be line of sight, an airliner pilot lost his commercial license cause he took a picture of his back. CASA’s safety rules, including maintaining visual line of sight (VLOS) during flight, flying below 120 meters altitude, not flying near people or emergency operations, and adhering to restricted zone limits.

  • Damn I was just tracking the parcel and seen this on the aramex website-

    "Damage investigation
Unfortunately upon receiving your parcel at our depot, we noticed signs of damage. We have initiated an investigation and are prioritising a solution with the sender."

What is my best chance to get the item sent again at this price instead of a refund?

    • Sold by Amazon should be easy for a replacement.

  • Don't think I really need my order any more but guessing there is no stock anyway. What's the chance it's cancelled and we get a token voucher…

  • Not sure if we will be getting this order.

My order changed from an approx date range in September to now just showing "Order Recieved".

  • Anyone get the cash rewards recognised for this yet

    • No , you got the drone?

      • Yep.

      Here we go again lol

      • -1

yeah i would rather get the fly more bundle for my trip lol.

    • Did anyone receive their orders from last deal? Mine is still processing…

      • +3

At least Amazon tries to fulfill when they get more stock unlike Digi Direct said discontinued

        • yeah i ordered a uv lens filter from them never rocked up lol.

    • +7

I'm going to take the cancellation of my previous order as a sign that I should be waiting for another sale on a model with better obstacle collision detection before buying.

      • New to these. Is the collision detection on this model no good?

        • +3

This model just doesn't have it. But the drone itself is very good and flight time is better than in models with collision detection.

        • If you are a pro pilot, then flying this model shouldn't be a problem.

          • @MauTauAja: Far from it.. I guess in wide open spaces it's not so much an issue but I imagine I'd be messing around with it at first somewhere theres a good chance it's gonna hit something.

      • so what does it mean DJI Mini 3 (DJI RC) what is the dji rc part? is that the non screen version or is the screen version?

        • Screen version

      • you are right but to be realistic, maybe the 4 pro will drop to something like 1k around christmas time, i dont think it would drop to half price, and even if it did it would still be around 700 dollars, still 230 more than this, but it would have obstacle sensing

    • Just submitted the order. Let's see if it gets processed.
My last order from digidirect got cancelled.

    • +2

DJI 5 is coming with hugh upgrade I guess.

      • rumoured Sept 19th

        • ok my trip is not till december so I most likely will just wait for the latest one to come out.

      • +1

        Wolverine edition?

        • +1

They removed obstacle detection on that one to save money. It has retractable claws that slice through them instead.

          10/10, highly recommend.

        • +1

If it’s yellow and black, take my money.

      • +1

I am waiting for the 5 as well.

        • its rumoured to be 1500$ for the pro

      • yes huge upgrades, at around 2k price at launch too

    • Is this a good deal?

      • Only if you happy with those current functions.

        • Yep happy with the specs but it seems RRP was $799 for this variant, does that sound right?

    • +2

Let’s see if this one goes through. I got burned with Digitech last time.

      • If they get more stock in which based on the estimated delivery date, they will, you have nothing to worry about. Amazon is a completely different kettle of fish

        • And I find Amazon don’t take your money until they are ready to ship.

    • +1

damn im happy with mini 2 because it can be controlled by non official apps, but i just wish the remote has screen no need to use mobile phone.

      • Ah. Would these apps let me connect and fly with my Motorola phone? I couldn't connect to my mini 2 with the official app

        • you can try not sure what is the issue with yours not connecting to official.
the app can connect to certain model of drone, mini 2 is one of them. https://flylitchi.com/help

      • I upgraded from mini2 to 3. The range is noticeably shorter on mini3 =( the only advantage is the integrated screen on the controller. And perhaps the portrait camera mode if you are into posting into socmed reels etc

      • I have the mini 2 and I've bought this deal. If it goes through, I'll sell the mini 2.

I think the RC controller can also work on the mini 2? Could you take up this deal and sell just the drone (surely someone has crashed theirs or lost it).

        • google says
No, the standard DJI RC remote controller is not compatible with the DJI Mini 2; you must use the DJI RC-N1 Remote Control for the Mini 2, which is a separate controller that connects to your mobile device to provide the screen and functionality for flying.

          :(
