13

Full case of 12 × 750ml bottles, perfect for stocking your cellar or sharing with friends.

The Catena wines are a special assemblage of High Mountain Estate Vineyards made by fourth generation vintner, Laura Catena and chief winemaker, Alejandro Vigil. Although they have found that most of the Catena wines are consumed shortly after release, they are pleased to see that they age beautifully for ten to twenty years. Through decades of study and exploration within Mendoza's high altitude mountain terroirs, the Catena family has identified special locations for its Estate vineyards. From the marriage of these historic vineyards emerges a wine of unique character that has natural balance, concentration and a distinct varietal identity.

Do you own a corkscrew? These aren’t screw cap bottles.

      • And your point is?

What's the normal price? How is this a deal?

Quick check shows the regular price at Liquorland is about $45 per bottle.

The questions are….How much were you selling it for?
      Is this your normal price?

Slightly less quick check shows a few of $33-34 a bottle prices. Your $31 a bottle is still the lowest I could find, but other places do let you buy in mix packs, so not getting 12 of the same thing.

      • A dozen of a wine you might have never tried can be a bit of a lottery at $372, vs having tried at an in store tasting, then only risk is vintage variation. Sending wine back can be a hassle, postage parking and get to post office, stand inline with 11 bottles. i buy wine online but it’s either cheap and low risk (e.g 6 bottles $120) and if i don’t like it or if pricier it’s a wine i know and it’s bought online due to either availability or vintage.

wine industry is a tough gig, especially as pricier wines move well in a good year, slower in a bad year e.g piedmont 2020 meh year vs 2021 great vintage and in melbourne massolino barolo 2021 flew off the shelves, 2020 plenty left. quoting price on ozbargain check the lowest prices in the market, because if you don’t the members will, with liquorland and imported wines is only cost effective on things they bring in themselves, and with vintage cellars and liquorland merging and now all just liquorland we are likely to see less imported exclusives that they bring in themselves. I wouldn’t expect liquorland to have a killer deal on an imported wine that has come through a local distributor, good thing is they now price match,
