Plus, get $600 worth of gift cards a year when you choose to export power from any home battery between 5pm–9pm, with the AGL Battery Rewards Plan.

AGL Battery Rewards Plan

This plan is available to residential customers in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria, where AGL operates. This plan is available as part of an ongoing market contract. Your electricity plan is ongoing and will end when either you or we give notice to end the plan. AGL will only end the plan in accordance with your market contract with us. If AGL discontinues this plan, AGL will end this plan by providing you with notice in writing and your electricity supply will continue under a standard retail contract. You’re free to change your plan at any time and no exit fee will apply.

Rates and charges

The rates and charges under this energy plan are variable and can change with notice to you. These rates may differ from AGL’s published variable rates and other rates that AGL may offer from time to time (including under the same plan name). If we vary your rates, this will generally be once or twice a year, and we’ll give you at least five business days’ prior notice of the variation. We may also vary your rewards with notice to you (subject to regulatory requirements and your right to exit the plan).

Solar feed-in tariffs

For electricity customers only

The solar feed-in tariff under this electricity plan is variable and can change with at least five business days’ written notice to you. To be eligible for AGL’s solar feed-in tariff under this electricity plan:

  • the inverter capacity of your solar system must not exceed, or must be export limited to, 10kW (NSW), 30kW (QLD), 10kVa per phase (SA), 100kW (VIC), and

Online bill credit

For a limited time, get a one-off $400 (GST incl.) credit for electricity when you sign up to this plan and stay for 90 days. Offer for residential customers in NSW, QLD, SA, and VIC, where AGL operates, who remain an AGL electricity customer at the same supply address for 90 days from the start of this energy plan. The credit amount reduces the price of supply of electricity and is not transferable or refundable. AGL may exclude accounts from receiving more than one upfront credit per fuel in any 12-month period. Not available in conjunction with any other AGL offer, unless otherwise stated. Offer may be withdrawn or varied by AGL.

Comments

  • To give this $400 credit they would have to be eye gouging people in every other way

No this looks to be a legitimate offer. All you need to do is stay for 90 days.
You can also earn other rewards for exporting power to the grid during 5 - 9 pm.

      • Legitimate for who? Look at the unavailable comments below..

    • They are….your neighbor is paying 51c/kWh and $1.50 a day just to be connected.

      No charity lable on AGL.

    Not available in WA unfortunatley.

Says not available in my state (NSW)

    • i'm in NSW and it's available, i'd churn this offer if i could.

probably depends on your distributor? i'm under endeavour.

  • Isn’t it a $12k battery with installation? If one can spare that amount, $400 is negligible

    • +2

So if you earn 300k a year you wouldn't ask for a 3.3% pay rise because its negligible?

  • not available in ACT

Their feed in tariff is not the best and unless you have a near full battery in the morning you would be crazy to export during peak, also will wear out your battery quicker

    • looking at NSW the "top" FIT's are all capped so the difference works out to be like 15c a day

  • $400 seems generous, until you realise they drain your battery and then you're exposed to whatever their pricing is. It's not a real $400, it's a currency they can manipulate
