ING Pocket Perks has just launched. It's a cashback system like AmEx or Citibank, that gives you cashback when you pay with your ING Orange Everyday and Orange One cards. That means you can stack it with a cashback site + NRMA etc.

There is a long list of stores so check to see if your retailer is on there before your next purchase. You can only see the offers in-app. The two standout offers are:

  • $25 Cashback on $50+ at Aussie Broadband (Screenshot) and $75 Cashback on $100+ at Energy Locals (Screenshot)

  • Be nice if they ever paid out on the utility cash back.

Mine go through fine. Paid AGL on June 29, credited on June 29 (after transaction clears).

    • +1

Are you sure you’ve met the monthly criteria? Mine get paid out fine as well.

      • yup always meet the monthly. Maybe it's because it's Ampol and their system doesn't detect it. Come to think of it, I didnt get it for Water either.

        • It pays instantly, so maybe the provider isnt part if it?

        • They have a list of approved providers, easy enough to check

          • @Elusive8985: Good tip, I didn't even know there was a list to check, but both my providers are on it. Guess I have to call them :(

  • what is aussie bb?

      Might be Aussie base ball

Looks like these might be targeted/different retailers for different customers?
I have a long list, but do not have either of the two mentioned in the OP unfortunately.

    • Do you have Orange Everyday or Orange One?

      • Ah - good point, all Orange Everyday for me!

        • I'm Everyday as well. Interesting. Doesn't come up in search?

          • @neil: Nope, nothing when I search either.

The vast majority of my offers also look to be 5-7% cashback and at retail/department type stores.

  • +1

Yeah looks like it's targeted. I have two cards (personal and joint) and one has the Energy Locals offer and the other doesn't.

  • Possibly a silly question, but are these one off cashbacks, or in the case of ABB, is it $25 cashback per month and ongoing?

3.Offer can be redeemed multiple times, limited by availability.

This part here in the T&C's appears to indicate, that providing you meet the monthly criteria, ING will give you cashback each month? Seems too good to be true if that's the case 🤔

    • It's not very clear, but I would assume it's a once off for new customers only. I assume that line refers to the % cashback for other retailers (the T&Cs are the same).

      • I initially thought that too - I just don’t want that to be the case :-)

There's a significant difference in wording

        ABB

4.This Offer is available on all qualified transactions made online at https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au

        Energy Locals

This Offer is available on one qualified transaction made online at https://energylocals.com.au/

        • Good point. Could potentially be per month until the expiry then? Valid until 17 January, 2026

        • Would bpay works for energylocals, or has to be direct debit

        • Might be worth calling ING to clarify. I just looked up my app and there's now no expiry on energy locals deal (although still one off only), no change to ABB offer…

      • +1

Looks that way. Not sure if they updated the wording since this post, but for me on the app it says:

Spend $50 or more, get $25 Cashback (new customers only)

  • +2

Geez louise… Looked in the app when I saw this post… There are so many "average" cash back offers… I mean, I appreciate it, but there are so many of them… And some are online only… So it's a lot of work to sort through the weeds.

Having said that, I got the offers in the post, so that's appreciated.

    • Amex is the same :( ridiculous amount

  • +3

I remember when it was 5% on every paywave under $100

  • Ok I just downloaded the app, and no perks. I even got email. Any ideas?

    1. eftpos transactions are not eligible for this Offer. Whether a transaction is routed through eftpos may be at the merchant’s discretion. Transactions where you have selected ‘Savings’ or eftpos at the terminal or in your digital wallet are also not eligible to qualify for the Offer.

If I "Make a payment" from MyAussie app, it's always routed through eftpos. Is there another way to make a payment so that I am eligible for this cashback?

  • I also received CB offer for ABB on my 28 degrees CC, so might be good to stack there!

  • Spend $1500 for $150 CB for LG online store looks good.

  • Has anyone received their $25 Cashback on $50+ at Aussie BB?

  • We have 2 individual ING accounts, I suppose both accounts can get the cashback, just like offers from Amex?
