Accor+ Regional Pricing - INR Appears Cheapest (Unless Others on Sale)

Singapore SGD 299 $359 27-08-25

Note they do country-specific sales often which will likely result in a lower price than India, but India is the best without sales. I ran a script to check all and no country currently has a sale running.

Also note I found it difficult to find a VPN it detected as India, it kept switching to Singapore. Malaysia was easier.

  • Wow - thanks for this great summary. I've been meaning to do this for when my current renewal expires.
I suspect they aren't going to get many members in the Asian region with the massive price increase, but perhaps that is their strategy with the plan changes - a lot less members but increase the price & lower the costs.

    • The changes provide 15% off world wide (opposed to 10% + 5% as a member in APAC), so it's basically equal.

The main difference is the room upgrades are buy 1 get 1 free (for 2 nights), and the restaurant discount is 30%. Hope to see accor resturants reduce prices over this…

Yes, I think the problem is the main reason people purchase Accor Plus is for the free night & 50% (certainly was for me), so it is a significant downgrade in my situation (with only a slight drop in A$ price & big increase in many other locations).
My only hope is that they significantly increase the availability of free nights (and in more of the higher-end hotels), but this is probably wishful thinking.

        • I also hope it applies to higher than lowest tier rooms and/or can be stacked with suite night upgrades… But that's very wishful thinking.

They've taken away so much value from it. Good that it's now 15% off world wide, but I was seeing the 10% off anyway (even though not advertised) so only 5% difference.

Also hoping it can stack with voyager and Ibis because the UK has some really nice Ibis Hotels and if the percentage off stacks with Voyager + Ibis that will be amazing - 35% off Ibis if it stacks. Voyager + Ibis apparently do stack.

  • Fwiw mine is based in NZ, and they gave me free breakfast vouchers to use at some point, for only for use in NZ…

So a saving based on sign-up location may not be beneficial overall

    YMMV

    • Platinum personally so free breakfast in APAC is included anyway

Not sure where you got your prices from but I think some of them are out of date. Using VPN I am getting
    India - INR 19499
    Malaysia - MYR 949
    Hong Kong - HKD1788
Which makes sense as they unified all pricing for all countries to USD229 or equivalent.

    • Might be before tax, I used the API directly which has weird parameters to feed to jq… Some have tax included in the final price, some don't. Consumer law requires tax inclusive, so it makes it confusing. There's no way to tell what's what. which VPN did you use for IRN? Because that's still cheapest I believe

    • For many locations you can see the price without a VPN, for example just open up this link in incognito mode to see Malaysian pricing 949 MYR:
      www.accorplus.com/my/benefits

      • Didn't know this, I was pulling data from the API, cheers

I kept going to the next page not noticing the price is stated there already, which reverts to locale based

        • It would be great if you could update the original post to reflect these prices for future reference.

@Gaz1: Updated and added timestamp so people know when it was last checked

            • @Dyl: Great!! They've certainly stopped people buying overseas!

              • +1

@Gaz1: It's always been similar pricing, but sales are country specific so you at times can have one country ~30% cheaper when on sale.

Pricing has reduced with the upcoming changes btw, was $399 not $349 AUD. Other countries are similar pricing still, so that's why it's not a major difference anymore.

                Examples:
Accor Plus AU 40% off $239
Accor Plus PH 30% off $184

Etc. Going to setup monitoring now I know how to do it without a VPN and get automatic alerts when a country has a sale

p.s. If you're a member you can request free cancellation due to the upcoming changes, get a refund, then sign up at the new lower rate (assuming you didn't get a discount originally). Also the current promo of 14 months for price of 12. I'm ending up with around $275 back for ~9mo, then signing up again for ~$340 for 14mo. Hoping it also resets my stay plus night so I can get the new 2x stay plus nights.

                • @Dyl: Interesting. I did cancel mine but it said it could be 30 (or 60?) days before I receive the refund.
Did it let you sign up again & get the 14 months soon after you cancelled?
Do you know when the 14 month promo expires?

                  • +1

                    @Gaz1: Says 30 days

It hasn't been processed yet so haven't tried, but I assume it should let you resubscribe once cancelled. Either way if I'm not getting the 2 stay plus nights (or buy 1 get 1 free nights) the new membership is 100% not worth $240+ so it's worth cancelling anyway.

p.s note you receive 'vouches' for the country you subscribe under, so I have a bunch of unusable Malaysian vouchers. If paying retail the extra $20 will cover itself considering this and the new pricing. Some aren't bad, ie one is 'second night free' at participating hotels, couple of MYR 50 and 100 off dining ($18/36), etc.
