perfect for my new herb business

Just need some solar panels and batteries and nobody will even notice the increased power usage.

      • +2

Battery literally pays for itself in couple of months 😂

        • +5

Couple of days is more realistic once you harvest the crop

  • +6

Why is Vinnies selling grow lights? LOL

    • +13

Because he stopped calling himself "Saint Vincent" and started calling himself "Vinnie".

    • +1

Vinnies has to diversify to stay relevant.

    • +9

Don't question them, they know their clientele.

  • +5

I highly doubt the 1000w rating.

I also doubt the quality. These Vinnies specials seem to be unsold eBay stock they somehow pick up. If they are that bad someone couldn't get rid of them for better than $30 they are probably not something you want running in a hidden part of your house unsupervised. Does Vinnies sell smoke alarms?

Now to just build that secret bunker with a self suffient hyroponic "veggie patch"

10% off for new customers with the coupon code VINNIES10.

You can find very similar models (Probably of very similar quality) on AliExpress ranging from $6-$25

Um, don't you need to output UV light to be able to promote plant growth?

    • +3

What do you think "full spectrum" means

      • LEDs can output UV? Something I didn't know

    • +1

That's a misconception. In actual fact you need more full spectrum light. Even a normal white household led would be better than a pure UV light.

    • +1

Nope, you can grow many basic foods like lettuce and sprouts under cfl bulbs that have no UV.

@Op, is this good for growing mari?

  • +2

might be lucky if its 100w def not 1000w

  • What does it mean 1000W? Is it electricity consumption?Or it's like 1000W label on Chinese boombox speaker?

    • I believe the 1000w refers to the equivalent power rating if you used halogens or incandescents to generate the same level of light

    • +1

      Peak Music Power Output

    • +1

More Bs marketing. Kinda like how a "8kw" air conditioner will only pull about 1.5-2kw/hr from the "wall" in actual power. These types of led's always seem to be rated in "light power" equivalent to incandescent bulbs. My "600w" red light therapy panel only pulls about 50w from the wall.

    • Yeah I definitely think it's more about the brightness equivalent to filament bulb than power consumption. Even then over rated

    Indoor crop dreaming….

  • +1

No dimensions given. Going on visuals maybe the size of two cigarette packets? Going to need a lot of these to sustain your crop.

Full circle marketing. Grow your own, drop out and do all your shopping at Vinnies?

  • Thanks OP, got one to help restore soles of sneakers.
