This is the new compact one but without charger.
Gotcha.
different batteries mate
I wonder if these are using 5x21700's, or something else?
Correct, they are 5 x 21700.
The 2.0 and 4.0 standard packs use 18650 cells.
The 2.5 and 5.2 packs use 20650 cells.
The 6.0 & 8.0, the sealed 3.0 & 4.0 and these use 21700 cells.
Power output in watts on the batteries from Einhells website.
2.0AH 450 watts.
2.5AH 720 watts
4.0AH 900 watts
4,0AH compact 900 watts
5.2AH 1260 watts
6.0AH 1350 watts
8.0AH 1350 watts
The new sealed batteries.
3.0AH 900 watts
4.0AH 900 watts.
Very interesting. The 2.5AH seems to be a stand out for size/performance
And cost, at $20 with a charger, best option unless you need max power for some tools.
@tryagain: They inject you with these in the middle of the night and when you wake up you're addicted to Ozito.
Anyone want to go halves in Perth?
Nice one. I have 14 of the regular 4AH and 8 of the 2.5AH batteries so I'm trying to resist………
Have you seen the AliExpress non-OEM devices? I ordered a lamp, there are spotlights, soldering irons and more, but take a bit of searching.
Got any examples of these items? interesting
I have an adaptor for my dyson hand vac.
@cfuse: Love my adapter for Dyson. No more 60 second battery times for my old Dyson battery. I get a good 10-15 minutes on max/boost now.
How's the lamp?
The branded worklights which I've used are really well built. Is there much of a difference in flimsiness/ruggedness with the Ali one? (expecting yes, hoping no)
I guess the lack of folding indicates that it might be easier to break.
I’ve ordered one that takes a 12v Edison screw led bulb. It hasn’t arrived yet.
@mskeggs: Also these work with Ozito. I just ordered another one for emergency lighting. Quite bright

I have a soldering station, DC power supply and an adaptor for my Dyson stick vac. I mainly use eBay but use AliExpress now and again too. Am holding out on a lamp/spotlight for now but probably will get one at some stage. There's a bunch of good options out there if you have the time and patience to find them.
why so many?
OzBargained.
Sometimes kits go on sale and work out good value over skins at the time. I bought a bunch of the 4AH with twin charger kits and most of the 2.5AH were back when they were $19 with a charger.
Only if I could use these for my skil chainsaw.
Maybe 3d print or AliExpress adaptor?
Nice. Didn't even know these were a thing. Will be better for the Dyson than the regulator 4Ah.
Is there any trade-off using these compacts VS normal ones?
probably lighter than regular 4 ah?
same weight i feel, just a bit smaller dimensionally
No trade off at all. Personally prefer the smaller form.
The compact batteries use 5 x 21700 cells as opposed to 10 x18650 in the std 4.0AH. Power output is 900W for both according to Einhell's website.
Weight is 592g compared to the std 4.0AH pack at 683g (according to my kitchen sales) So 91g lighter. The compact is 7mm wider, about 8-9mm longer and about 16mm lower in height.
Pic of both for comparison, https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/309005/122846/batt_com…
Apologies for what looks like a repost, but I thought I would add the battery weights according to Einhell.
The 2.0 and 4.0 standard packs use 18650 cells.
The 2.5 and 5.2 packs use 20650 cells.

8.0AH 1350 watts. 1050g
The sealed batteries.
3.0AH 900 watts. 580g

is it worthwhile to spend another $20 and get 3x 4.0AH large batteries ? https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-4-0ah-battery-mult…
Dep on the tool it is being used on.
E.g hedge trimmer or drill that's will be held at an angle or in a awk position? Maybe not. Smaller and lighter is preferable.
But on a lawn mower or table saw? Sure. Actually wish they make. A power point adaptor for some. Of. The more stationary tools as an option.
Anyone in Brisbane/Gold Coast want to go halves?
I only need one battery.
Thanks
Does the $50 off still works when u trade in a dead battery?
Wait Bunnings has battery trade in?
Just got my order and the buggers sent me the standard batteries with charger rather than slim. Do I really have to make the time now to go into bunnings to swap them out?
No, if you email them they will organise a courier to do a swap. Still a stuff around though.
