DeWALT 18V XR Li-Ion Cordless Compact LED Task Light - Skin Only $104.99 Delivered / C&C (Redeem Bonus 1.7Ah Battery) @ Bunnings

160

Looks like Bunnings are price matching the SuperCheap deal on this Dewalt Task Light. I don't know if it is any good, but I recently became invested in the Dewalt ecosystem after the McLaren deals.

https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/dewalt-dewalt-xr-12v-18v…

and there is a free 18v x 1.7AH battery available via redemption

Oh - it's half price

  • I have one. It's very bright. Hard to get into a spot which doesn't blind you while working under it. Good light though - does the job.

    • I watched a review on it last night, and the guy said he struggled to make it fit/work anywhere he wanted.
Unless you put it on a tripod, and if you are doing that, it may as well be wired and cheaper.
He gave it a solid pass as a result, would you agree?

Even at half price, it still sounds expensive for a LED light :-| I'll pull the trigger, for the battery, if I haven't had a Ryobi light.
There are more Dewalt tools than Ryobi's in my toolbox now.

    • I'd pull the trigger if it's 4Ah battery like last last time.

      • I already have one 8Ah and one 5Ah, so I prefer a 1.7Ah Powerstack to a 4Ah.
I'm looking for a 1.7Ah battery on Facebook Marketplace from deals like this.

It's pretty expensive for a light. The battery you can sell for $40.
The light is also pretty bulky and the handle isn't practical to hang from most of the hooks and nails you have around when working.

    HODL!

First result is very bemusing but it's also quite significantly cheaper

    • Feels like someone missed the forest for the trees when they designed that.

Pretty easy to get one of the battery to wire lead adapters and just hook it up to any wide input automotive LED. Most seem to handle 12-36V without issue, so you can hook them straight up. Add a switch if you're feeling fancy.

and you guys have millions of ozitos batteries anyway

this one is only 350 lumen

i also have the older one thats 250 lm and that's more than enough to shine under sinks and that kind of shit you have to put up with

    • This is $220 work light, better to compare with the $59 Ozito work light for same lumen or the $99 panel for same price, all on my to-buy list when on sale.

  • bunnings are price matching lots of dewalt gear
