Might be worth it for some to get the 9x $20 store credit.

The least expensive item that gets you Gold Services Extra is this globe for $4

3 years Gold Services Extra is $30
and delivery was $3 for me.

EDIT: found a better deal $34 as this has free delivery

  • If you are doing this for that promotion whatever, but jeez they trying to make basic warranty stuff and consumer rights a subscription plan.

alot of people dont know or choose to actually go through with their protections as they often put it in the too hard pile the second anyone pushes back slightly.
but some people may buy gold usually for appliances etc. esp boomers.

Actually, the Gold Service Extras are seperate from ACL guarantees, and you will receive a remedy and additional benefits, depending on the amount of the item purchased.

You will get vouchers for 3 items per customer at the maximum on the concierge.
3 x $20 vouchers per year per item.
Maximum of 9 vouchers per year per customer.

I wasn’t aware of this and bought 5 items recently on extended warranty concierge. But later I was informed that I will not receive vouchers for all items. Should have bought 3 items under my name and 2 under wife’s name.

    Sorry, what?

  • I currently have 3 of these storecashes and don't even know what to spend it on…

    • You can actually spend it on anything instore- except agency (miele, f&p, asko, smeg), and there's no minimum spend which is great. Only thing is you can only use 2 on one order.

      • I did notice they have no minimum spend now, previously they had a $20 min spend.

    • I use mine for coffee pods and sodastream swaps :)

I found a better item, $4 but has free delivery.

    • got the previous one already, but this is showing $3 del for me metro melb

  • Honestly.. it's useless imho. I used to use it for batteries. But I have enough eneloops and tgg don't sell anything rechargeable and decent

  • Can i use the store credit to buy this offer?

    • Yes!

  • I got this last week. Followed the link. Signed up. Now I have it in my wallet and all it currently shows is my name and mobile number with no barcode. Didn't get any email. What next?

    • You will find that they will be in your wallet periodically throughout the year (3 times per year)

  • Can these vouchers be used to buy printer paper? TGG have printer paper for $8/ream, so each time I receive three vouchers (=$60), can I buy 8 reams (=$64) for three vouchers plus $4 cash?

    • +1

yes, equivalent to a gift card.

      • Just to be clear, if I buy one item with Gold Service Extras, I will receive one $20 voucher every four months for three years, correct?

So to receive three vouchers at a time, I need to buy three items with Gold Service Extras, and pay an additional $90 (= 3 x $30 fee) for the Gold Service Extras?

        • yes, that's right.

each voucher you receive after the previous expires.

A comment above mentioned you can only use 2 on 1 purchase.

          • @BargainBilby: Thanks!

you can only use 2 on 1 purchase.

Okay, that's workable. Two vouchers = $40 = 5 reams of printer paper. Then go back the next day and use the remaining voucher.

  • OP, it might be worth adding this info to the deal: having Gold Service Extras membership apparently lets you buy a large variety of other stores' gift cards at 4% discount:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards

But read the warning at the end of that listing, the gift cards can take months to arrive and you may have to chase a refund if they fail to arrive. Also, TGG website says that although your Gold Service Extras runs for three years, you only get 12 months of access to the discounted gift cards.

A few highlights from the card selection: Coles, Woolworths, Supercheap Auto, Priceline, BCF, Kathmandu, Macpac.

  • How long does it take for the first credit to arrive?
