Golden Amrita Nectar Shiraz 2022

Our Nectar Shiraz is grown at our Greenock and Moppa vineyards, with an average vine age of around 25 years.

Grape parcels are fermented separately in small open fermenters, then basket pressed to predominantly 1 – 3 year old French and American oak for 24 months maturation.

A selection is then made of some of the most full bodied components to produce our limited release Nectar Shiraz.

Tasting Notes

Deep and rich in colour, the wine shows ripe blackberry and plum characters, sweet oak and a touch of dark liquorice.

The palate is rich and smooth with black fruit and dark chocolate characters, followed by a long, firmly structured finish.

Cellar for up to 10 years if you can wait that long.

1847 Grand Pappy Shiraz 2021

97pts Ray Jordan

"What a powerhouse of opulence and concentration is this plush and super-saturated Barossa shiraz from this very good year.

Loaded with blackcurrant and spicy plum, licorice and dark syrup chocolate.

With a slightly limestone ferrous thread.

So seamlessly balanced with a persistent and urgent finish.

This is luxury. Score: Cellar: 30 years."

97pts Sam Kim

"A sumptuous offering, the seductive bouquet shows dark fruit richness, cured meat, cinnamon, spicy oak and dark chocolate characters, followed by an impressively concentrated palate offering outstanding depth and persistency.

Wonderfully structured by fleshy texture and velvety tannins, finishing superbly long and captivating.

At its best: now to 2039.

  • How is $220 77% off when RRP is $320? My Maths is not great but this doesn't really add up.

77% off the dozen. Plus a freebie bottle with RRP $320.

      • Ahh got it. I didn't read properly.

The grand pappy regularly sells for $50-$70, will still be a nice bottle but it's not a $300+ wine.

The number of good, cheap wines on here lately is insane, definitely a glut that is being cleared out.

I'd jump on this but I've already bought 4 dozen bottles of shiraz in the past month alone.

  • Only 4 dozen? 🤣🤣 Easy to spend at these prices!
