Seems to be a good price after doing a very quick search on google. Don't know anything about the product. Does anyone have any experience with it? It's being cleared out so it is possible that it is short-dated.

I know it's a 'massgainer', but people should be aware this is only 26% protein - you're much better off getting a higher quality WPC/WPI and adding additional calories via food if needed.

  • My 16 year old son is keen to gain more mass (whereas I'm constantly trying to lose it!) … What are the Mass Gain components of this versus WPC/WPI, Creatine and Collagen? Are they just garbage?

Edit: Oh geez, number one on the ingredients list is Dextrose!!

Pretty much yep. Caloric intake will be the main barrier if he's struggling to gain weight (and assuming adequate protein intake), much better to get these from food with other important micronutrients instead of the garbage that makes up most massgainers.

100%. Get calories via food so that you get the fibre and micronutrients.

Calories for the sake of calories only makes sense in survival situations. Otherwise, mass gainers are rubbish for your health.

For skinny guys, WPI plus a banana (or even a slice of white bread) after exercise can outperform that fancy stuff—if you’re good enough at Maths to calculate your protein and calorie needs without crying

If he is okay with dairy I found drinking 0.5L or 1L of full cream milk at night after dinner an easy way to gain weight.
I tried eating more but always felt too full, drinking milk at night always worked for me.
Lots of people might think it is hard to do but after a couple of days to a week of this I found it easy to tolerate without any issues.
Alternative timing would be in the early afternoon around 2-3 hours after lunch.

Pft. 2000 is amateur hour. When I’m serious about packing on some quality beef, I go with the 4000..

Follow your dreams… you can achieve your goals… I… am living proof!

  • I never understood why most people by mass gainer. If you're gonna eat carbs and fat get it from some tasty food.

I guess if you don't like eating calories then this might appeal or if you need insane calorie intake that normal food can't provide.
