I got mine this year for $100 with the Apple back to school promotion.
Before these I was using the Anker Liberty 4 NC (honest on special for $129). Honestly, besides from the AirPods Pro’s being slightly smaller and slightly easier to use in the Apple ecosystem I haven’t really noticed any great difference. I’d be pissed if I paid $399 for them.

Well known on all the forums, etc. Apple has made a product launch announcement for two weeks time. While nobody can say with certainty, all signs point towards a new version launch.

Buy a set of airpods if you want, it's your money. It is a good product for apple user, But not worth for $300+. I have both airpods pro 2 & QCY (bought for less than$40). I prefer QCY than air pods pro 2 for comfort and sound quality.
