The best iPad model for a majority of people, unless you have a specific use case for a Pro.

I have the iPad Mini 6 and use the ZUGU case - it's hefty and heavy but your iPad will never see a dint in its life if you have one combined with glass screen protector.

    • +1

Yeah Zugu is good, $79.95 on Amazon with $10 off via the App. Black.
I like the Apple case keeps it thin and light. Got if for free though if paying would get the Zugu.
      You using a pencil?

      • +2

Yes, I have the pencil as well. I used the apple folio case as well before switching. A lot lighter than Zugu - I swapped back and forth for a bit to see which one I liked better but the extra weight and security of where the Pencil stays kept me on the Zugu. Something I didn't think consciously of was that the Zugu has 8 different settings for viewing angles - I found myself using different angles all the time whereas with the folio I was locked into one.

Fair enough, I don't use the pencil. I do a lot of reading on mine holding it, hence keeping it light.
Have ordered a Zugu will give it a go lol

I have a Pivot case for mine as I use it for navigation software when flying (can strap it to my thigh). It's a fantastic case for general use and protection too but is quite expensive.

Zugu cases are bloody awesome got one for my iPad Pro

    • Yeah, but have you thought of getting a last-gen iPad Pro 12.9 for the MiniLED display?

I went to OW, but unable to price beat due to the price isn’t the advertised price

    • Yep, couldn't do it over the phone either. Even mentioned it was upon checkout.

    • +1

$637 is still good, try over the phone though and pick up in store, where I live store always makes it hard.
Always want to ad the delivery on the price match even though it's in store.

    • I can see where they are coming from

    • Correct

Hoping for Amazon to come to the party next

      $677 via the App

Dang, I fought tooth and nail to get the Mini 5 and now I want this!

Oled screen or mini led + 120hz and if jump on the next mini

    • +1

Maybe when all their iPads are oled and 120hz but will be waiting along time.

  • +4

Super love the mini, it's the only one that goes out with me along with my phone.

The next one would need OLED and water resistance.

So I just got some BS from OW price beat guarantee via phone call
They said it's also $687 on OW = won't price beat
$50 off when added to Digidirect cart = not within the T&C of OW, won't price beat

I'm not really a fan of Apple products but I have an iPad Mini (cellular) for my EFB flying navigation software and find it to be a fantastic device, if somewhat overpriced. We're going to Europe in a few weeks time and I'll be using it for IFE rather than the seat back screens. Also great for general travel use too.

I was able to price match at jb-hifi (live chat). And will be using bupa life rewards for 4.5% off jb-hifi gift cards.

  • No stock so no price match

    • As per my comment above - would not price match with OW (but apparently JB will price match)

  • It seems this has expired. They're back to $757.15 (minus the $50 at checkout).
