    That is true, but these chemicals (Triethanolamine, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Laureth-23, Butane, Isobutane, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Propane, Fragrance, BHT) can also have their own issues.

A tip I picked up years ago is that if you're travelling and have no shaving foam just use the conditioner from the little free toiletry bottles you get in hotels. Works fine as a substitute.
