Looking for Good + Cheap SIM Card in Sydney Area

Hi everyone, I am looking to get a cheap SIM that also has relatively good coverage.

Currently, I have the Boost eSim and I find that there are certain areas where signal drops out quite a bit. I paid around $380 for the year, I think? Hoping to get a better deal + better coverage + eSim if possible.

Thanks for the recommendations :))!

There is no right answer because the coverage will vary depending on where you go.

Boost, you'd think would have the best coverage, but you'll find areas where Optus or Voda are better.

  • You will need to experiment to find the best coverage for your area. Colesworth usually have a $10 or under SIM available every week, just buy a few of those and note which network they use. Then you can search around for longer term plans that use the same network.

  • Sometimes it's the device. I get better coverage on my Oppo phone than my wife's Samsung S23 FE and we are both on Boost.
Boost uses the whole Telstra network unlike Aldi or Belong so that shouldn't be an issue. You can try the next best option and go with a Sim on Vodafone network as they share coverage with Optus outside metro areas.
    Hope this helps.
