I think this is a great price for UDM SE. Have been using this for the last couple of years and it’s been better than any other consumer grade routers
Kind of want one of these for my new house. Have clients with 100+ staff running off this no probs. I like the POE on the ethernet ports as an idea for unifi cameras
I'm a noob with a UDR but wouldn't the UCG Fiber be a better deal?
Depends but for home usage, in most cases, yes.
Where it's not is likely if you're running Unifi Protect, and want rack mountable. The UDM SE offers POE and the ability to record to a HDD. The other option is UCG-fibre + something like a USW-Ultra (as mentioned in some other posts), but limits recording to NVME.
Then you need your full tower rack to mount it. Like if you have the coin to purchase a $800-900 POE 8 Port switch, then keep going until you have no coin. Throw some $25k servers in there too. Don't forget your 8-12 aerial wifi router.

I couldnt get them to match the advertised price. They claimed it was the cloud gateway price
yes $879, no brainer, didn't even think for a sec, and I bought it on 30th August
