  How's the game now? I stopped playing about maybe 2 to 3 years ago.

    Decent amount of quality of life improvements - though still lagging behind its sister games.

    Still relies on seasonal content to keep higher frequency players from FOMOing out of the game, including various character development and plot development arcs (but most of it is just junky saturday morning cartoon fare TBH).

    As a returner, you'll have plenty of content to work through and plenty of primos to pick up… more than enough to get a few limited characters before dropping the game again probably!

    A lot of power creeping in actual combat and exploration… Inazuma 5* feels like 4*s against Natlan. But then most of Natlan's power creep is self contained to Natlan (outside of Natlan, they're closer to the other units). That's the general design pattern for characters in this game these days.

      Don't believe this guy, powercreep is so bad, that C2 Raiden got her arse kicked by C0 body building girl.

      C2 Neuvillette got his arse kicked by a Surf tour guide,

      Every Anemo DPS got the arse kicked by a cowgirl.

      C6 Ayaka(All cryo DPS) got her arse kicked by C0 Skirk.

      And all existing 5 stars combined got their arse kicked by a Motorcycle Gangster, they doubled the maximum damage from 10 Mil to 20 Mil just for her.

      You can't even complete level 5 out of 7 levels of difficulty in latest domain without the Motorcycle Ganster, Skirk and newest 5 star.

      It's so bad, I am even selling my account.

        Watch the Natlan characters drop in power sharply as the new set of 5* from Nod Krai comes along. The power creep is in part because they introduce region specific mechanics that they emphasize for the duration of that region.

    You will have a lot of quests and exploration to go through, not to mention some of the peak cinema moment happened in the last 2 years.

    Rolling for characters got slightly easier, with the increased odds, but is still not necessary unless you are going for the end-game content or chasing meta.
