Best 50-55 Inch TV for Sub $1000

I need a new TV, what is the absolute best one I could get for around $1000.

For a smidge over a $1000, I would go for TCL 55C7K at Appliance Central. $1080 with free delivery.

I think the 55c7k is better, but a few places have 50c7k around $900.

Assume it has to be this size?

Also looking for a 50", cant go any bigger as its for a small room.
50C7K is top of the list at the moment but its rough seeing the current 65 C7K specials for the same price as the 50"

Picked up the hisense 55u7qau last week from jb for 1000. Seems good and sound better than our Samsung. Don't know if the upscaling is as good but otherwise picture quite good.

For cheap bells and whistles, this seems to have all the fancy stuff but couldn't guarantee what it will look like.
