    Who REALLY makes use of a camera in switch 2 games, let alone with Gamechat feature?

    I reckon this Camera peripheral is unlikely to fly on switch 2. It feels like it has been doomed from the start by being a seperate purchase.

        The Kinect camera is actually super useful. Just not for it's intended purpose. It's excellent to make 3D scans of stuff

          Completely agree, I turned my Kinect into a 3D scanner and made big money on it back in the day.

          Definitely got more usage out of it as a scanner than for gaming.

      it works with most USB Camera but you dont need a Camera for Gamechat the Switch2 has a very good microphone on the console and works very natural they have nailed the lounge chat its basicly like voice chat discord used it a bunch with my brothers and there kids its nice and clear

      there some weird UI quirks and the screen sharing needs improvements but kids like sharing each others screens ive enjoy showing my zelda game to my niece and she show me where she was and i was helping her with a puzzle.

      i could see it as a nice simple setup for some oldies that wanna see there grandkids and maybe you can get nanna into fortnite

    FWIW, the switch 2 works with any Webcam, or at least any webcam that supports UVC, which should be most of them.

    Wish it was like the other the cameras and connect to the switch 2 usbc in handheld mode while mounting to the switch

      I believe it’s usb-c and mounts on the switch 2 itself. (As opposed to usb-a to the dock itself) resulting in an unsightly cable mess from the top of the switch 2.

      I think that’s a silly design Nintendo went with.
      They should have made the dock have usb-c as well (at least 1 port) so when docked, the camera can be connected to the dock as option.

      Right now it’s a silly usb-c directly to the switch 2 itself only - so every time one desires a quick portable play has to contend to lug the camera around as well or requires manual cable disconnect.
