Definitely a minor leak at least
Rofl. You can't figure out which bit is leaking there? It's the part with water gushing out of it.
LOL!!! Was not what I was expecting… JFC!
@DashCam AKA Rolts Is this video too late to be added to the "Rolt's Weekly Roundup"??
@pegaxs thanks.
Do you think I should better replace whole things with:
https://www.bigw.com.au/product/garden-sense-5-piece-hose-se…But I am not sure about quality of this BIGW product. Any idea?
@bluespider: Rubbish stuff mate, get brass even if it's the cheaper Bunnings brass stuff. Anything better than that crap.
E.g. https://www.bunnings.com.au/aqua-system-hose-fit-brass-set-4…
lol
That piece of wire is trying so hard to hold on
Grab a washer kit from bunnings. The male connector will have a flat washer & an O ring. Water can also leak from the hose connector as they have three plastic internal tangs that can break off causing a leak.
Did you see the video?
It is unclear which part it is leaking from, but I would change the whole part just to be safe. You could try making another video so we can tell better which part is broken with the tap turned on at a slower speed and a 270 degree view of the area around the tap.
BigW Garden Set Hose Connectors
You should be able to unscrew the connector and replace it. I wouldn't spend $30 on the connectors since they break often, including the brass ones where it can shear off. From my own experience the brass ones are really just a gimmick.
If you can't on that model, you can just use a scissors or knife to cut it off and transplant the hose onto the new connectors.
OP has shown their DIY skill and experience level with their question, so I'll suggest they just call a plumber … ;-)
turn the piece of metal on the top of the tap clockwise, i find that usually helps
Gaffa tape will work if you turn the tap down.
Oh good, glad it’s not leaking…
Added to that, the video/photo you posted just returns an error. Did you forget part of the URL?
And without seeing anything, my first guess at repair is going to be “thread tape”. My second guess is the hose reel swivel seals.
