Just noticed this offer pop up in my Amazon wishlist for select CableCreation items. This offer includes several USB C hubs which seems to be of good value. I don't quite have the time to peruse the offer page so I thought I'd just throw this out there.

extremely overpriced items, even at half price
This is the cheapest right angle USB I have seen in the last few days as I have been looking for one.
Yeah, I think we just need to dig a little deeper. Most of the stuff is indeed overpriced or converts into standard pricing after the discount (i.e. jacked up to match the discount), but I believe there are a few gems buriued in there somewhere.
One of the first items I saw was a $20 3M line audio cable, $10 for 3M is not bad coming from a Australian warehouse. There's probably some okoay finds if you go hunting as you say but I don't think anything will jump out as an impulse buy if you aren't already in the market for this stuff.
Please tell me where it is cheaper?
Haha nice they have the forbidden USB to USB cable

I hate the manufacturers who put this onto external hard drive enclosures instead of USB type B, it shouldn't exist…
Any more background on this? Does usb not officially allow male to male?
And why does it seem only printers/scanners get the B type?
Not an official spec for USB2 and not good for USB3
From this stack overflow post
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/644717/are-u…Technically, it depends how the cable is built. In USB 2 standard these cables are not allowed at all, and USB 3 standard allows these cables only if they are build according to the standard.
They are not illegal (there is no jurisdiction with laws against them), and they are cannot be banned as they are just cables. They are just stupid, useless and non-compliant according to old specs and thus should not exist at all for any purpose, and they are only compliant according to new specs if made correctly without power supply connection.
Basically, both sides of the USB A connection will try to push power to the other side and this will cause bad things to happen and may damage the ports or even kill your devices. It's not a part of the standard USB specs and is somewhat proprietary based on how the manufacterer designed their products to accept these connections.
This Reddit comment goes into pretty good detail: https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/1bga35f/comme…
Same goes for a Male USB-A to Female USB-C, not in spec.
As someone can plug a typical Male USB-C to Male USB-A into it creating the referenced A to A that can send 5v to both devices 😢
They typically come with USB-C to Come cables to be used as a 5v legacy adaptor, but they shouldn't exist because they can easily create device killing cables.
Wait, what is the purpose of a type-A male to Type-A male? https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077GR1JNT?m=A3TG3BZGICQGN6
See above
Decent prices on the USB-C to HDMI stuff, the USB-C cables are a bit pricey still though - can get 140w or even 240w rated for similar pricing for those.
Okay pricing for the longer CAT 8 cable, but I doubt they actually manage the advertised 40Gbps, not that we'd have any way to test. Basically consider it a CAT6A cable (10Gbps up to 100m), no way to test it beyond that realistically.
I believe that's more or less standard price for 0.8m USB-IF certified cables on Amazon these days 😅
Fake "50% sale" of inflated prices
Yeah, unfortunately most of the prices seem to be jacked up. Some people are finding ok deals for what they're looking for though so it's not all bad.
Not a bargain.!!! Looks overpriced to begin with
