a stupid illiterate unhelpful broken clock is right occasionally

  • How long have they been sitting around for? And is it grey stock?

I'd be worried about it sitting without charge for potentially years on end. Wouldn't be so bad if Apple would replace the battery as it shouldn't have been activated.

Yes they are Space Gray and come with a full 1-year warranty for peace of mind. So even if there were any battery issues, you’d be covered.

      • +3

        Grey as in grey market.

I’d rather an Apple warrantee than a reseller one.

Not much difference compared to $139 iPad mini 5 from Coles.

    • -1

Fair point! Just to note though, the iPad Mini 5 is quite a different device — smaller 7.9" display, released back in 2019, and a different performance tier compared to the 10.2" iPad 9th Gen (2021) with the A13 chip, bigger screen, and newer software support.

That said, totally respect that it won’t be the best deal for everyone depending on needs — but for anyone after a solid, larger-screen iPad with plenty of life ahead, this is a strong price.

Might be worth paying for ChatGPT Plus for better responses!

    quite expensive for 9th Gen

    old bad deal

  • 9th gen was sub 400 1 year ago or so. No point paying so much for this

    • The difference is this is 256gb and cellular, but of those are a decent jump in price.

      • well, true
but still not worth it imho

  • Not worth it, rubbish tablet in 2025 for this price. Got one new in 2021 and returned it. First gen Touch ID ruins it. So slow to unlock.

  • This spec model cost $609 in 2021 when it was brand new. My kids school wont even support it after next year so you might get 1 year use of it in that type of environment.
