Came across this by chance. It is $1 cheaper than the lowest posted on OZB.

PS5 perf is mostly fine, PC perf is ass though
it's not about performance. it's how accomplished this game was on launch and how much Capcom has done in last few updates
As someone who has several hundred hours in each title, this game is the worst yet in the series. It's been dumbbed down to the point where I shelved the game in two weeks at HR 100 or something. This has never happened to me with any of the prior base game releases for MH.
If they keep this up, I think the series is over for me.
It's just about huntin' monsters innit?
About $45 too much.
Even the publisher-rendered gameplay vids look janky. Pass.
I gave it another shot this past few weeks on PC and it's admittedly running a lot better on my rig now. I put in some time and definitely had some fun, but there's just very little endgame right now. I'm not some hardcore Monster Hunter person and I feel like I hit the end far too fast.
If it's running decent on PS5 I'd say $45 is totally reasonable for it, it just needs way more fleshing out still. Capcom are pretty good at adding content over time so hopefully it'll eventually get to a good state.
If you haven't tried World or Rise definitely start there, so much content and a lot of people still playing.
To be fair, world was pretty similar. They've always kinda done this sort of release pattern. It wasn't really until Iceborne came out with World that the endgame took off.
Fair. I may have rose tinted glasses on for World, though I swear it had quite a lot prior to iceborne's release.
Definitely the better game at this point with the DLC though :).
100%
I think visually it looks better too
Great game for the price, even if you have played previous games the visual impact of monsters is stunning on a big 4k TV.
I still think Rise/Sunbreak is more fun but some of the fights in this are too epic to miss.
Endgame is light but i'm sure the inevitable expansion will make up for it.Looks like such a great game graphics-wise but can't imagine how much time you'd have to pump into it.
not much unfortunately….
Haha! Musn't be that great then.
Steelbook versions are available at this price too, for those who like pretty things:
