I recently bought myself my first Citizen Promaster watch (in titanium) and I've tried the stainless steel models several times in the shops, and IMHO this range is probably the best-built proper automatic diver's watch available at these price points. They feel solid, they're very legible, have excellent lume, and while the movement is not very exciting there's no doubting it's dependable and easy & cheap to repair. Pair that with Citizen's 5 year warranty and it's a winner. You can buy cheaper on AliExpress but it won't be ISO certified and won't have the backing of a major manufacturer. Alternatively, check out Citizen's Eco-Drive models, many of which look and feel functionally the same with the exception of being solar powered quartz movements instead.
Don't forget the $25 signup bonus to save a bit off the purchase price.

These inexpensive Promasters are getting hard to find in AU. I did a fairly comprehensive search and only found the following:
- Starbuy has a few more of them in different colourways and strap options between $249-$399.
- Watson's has two on S/S bracelet - Yellow dial for $389 and Black dial for $459.
- Watch Depot has two on rubber straps - Yellow dial for $299 and Orange dial for $399
- The appropriately-named Scarce & Co. have Yellow dial on S/S bracelet for $449.
- Salera's has Yellow on rubber strap for $399.
That is a nice emerald 🤔🤔🤔
