Great deal! Bought an Aeropress a week ago for $55 and makes a great cuppa.

  • 59.95 (title) or 59.90 (description)?

    • Thanks fixed %59.95 title

Surely this is no longer a bargain… it has been this price for months. This is advertising =/

    • On another note, I did buy one last year (for this price.) The coffee press is great - the coffee however I was not a fan of the beans "Sulawesi Toraja Kalosi"

Welllll….. After having also bought one of these bundles last year, was looking for this the other day for a friend and the aeropress deals had all expired. Given the aeropress alone is around the $45 mark without postage, I reckon this [the aeropress plus 1kg beans plus shipping] is still a bargain if you're looking at getting one of these things.

  • I assume the beans are beans and not ground?
Too bad there's no grinder in the package deal.
Any suggestions for a compact grinder?

Edit: just noticed ground is an option as well. Still after a good grinder though :-)

    • I googled and found Hario Mini Mill Slim to be a good cheap manual burr grinder. (I just purchased one recently thanks to that $10 off ebay deal, now just looking for something to make coffee)
Automatic burr grinders are expensive and I cannot justify the price so a manual burr grinder will do me fine.

ebay link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200841130519 (shipping from South Korea will take some time, you can buy one locally that will cost $55 + shipping)

      • I used to use a hand grinder at work…. maybe it was the one I had (not a Hairo), but it seemed to take a lot of time & effort to grind enough coffee for a shot let alone two. Now use a Sunbeam conical burr job that was on special a while back…. nowhere near as portable of course, but so much easier…..

    • Hi, Happy to sell you a Hario Coffee Mill Skerton hand grinder for $49.95 with this deal. Model number MSCS-2TB. These normally retail at $66.50 + shipping. If this is useful for you then you can just make a manual payment for the extra by clicking send money in paypal and send to [email protected] and leaving a note please

This isn't a bargain. You can get the device on Amazon for $36.92USD shipped to Australia, or add an extra $4.85 for 350 filters. Unless you think that coffee is worth $20 it's not such a great deal.

Cool - last time I checked, they wouldn't send it direct so you had to use a third party - which made the overall price way too high. Under US$37 for the thing itself is an excellent price if you don't want/need the beans…..

Gee there are a lot of haters on this thread!

Imo this is a great bargain, I recently purchased the press and 250g of coffee from their ebay store for $50 so fo an additional $10 you will get a further 750g of great coffee.

I was lucky enough to jag their fortitude blend - great aroma and strength and still well balanced. This coffee is on par with some of the locals I purchase for $35 a kg, so after factoring in the press is usually sold between $40-$50 plus shipping you are getting in excess of $75 worth of gear here.

At the time Amazon wouldnt ship to Australia, but I dont mind paying a couple more dollars to support this company that has exceptional customer service and posted this far speedier than Amazon could. Plus they sound as passionate as coffee as I am!

Imo this is a great bargain,

If it's so great why didn't you pos vote it?

    • Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed the coffee and value your custom :-)

  • I pay about 22 bucks for 500g coffee locally. Assuming this is decent coffee I think this is a pretty good bargain. I love the aeropress. Having said that, it is factory packed with the 350 filters so that's not necessarily an added extra.

  • How would this compare to a Stove Top? I am fussy and after all the back and forth with Nespresso type machines, I have gone back to the stove top. Yes, few minutes extra but I remember that cup a lot longer too!

My trusty Ikea stove top is about to go so I either need to get another one or one of these. These though look like a lot of work and cleaning?

    • These are quite easy to clean. After pressing the coffee through, you simply screw filter cap off and press the coffee/filter into the bin. Then you just rinse the rubber seal and filter cap and you're done.

Yes I agree, I was quite surprised how easy the Aeropress are to clean after the first time I used it. Feedback so far from people using Aeropress has all been very positive. I mainly use my coffee machine at home however always use my Aeropress when away anywhere and been very happy.

  • Does anyone know of a descent electric burr grinder that would produce consistent grinds for the aeropress? I've been looking for a while and haven't really found anything. My price range is between $100 to $200 but would like to keep it lower. Cheers
