Video Doorbell That Calls Your Phone

I’m looking for a video doorbell that can call your phone so you can answer with Bluetooth systems like in the car. I know Ring is meant to do this with a subscription but looking for something that doesn’t have a subscription. Also if possible something that can be charged like USB-C or something similar.

Eufy 2K? Says it has 2 way talk

    eufy

    • As above, I can do with my Eufy, but it's not a 'phone call' as such.

I get a notification on my phone that there is activity at the door, and I then access the app which works as two-way communication.

      No subscription required

  • Havent tried speaking through a car stereo system. But I know that the Eufy hase a 2 way talk mode. You get a notification saying that your doorbell is ringing, not a call like from Feacebook messenger or WhatsApp.

  • Tplink

In addition to the text notifications sent by the Tapo app, you can enable the Ring call feature. When someone presses the doorbell, a video call window appears on the mobile phone, followed by vibration and ringing, which clearly reminds you that the doorbell is being pressed at this time. Go to Device Settings > Doorbell > Doorbell Video Call and enable the feature

I have eufy doorbell and I miss the doorbell ring notification a lot as I have a bunch of other alerts through the day pinging through eufy cameras. I’m really surprised eufy didn’t implement a function to call the phone like tplink.

It seems half implemnted. Which seems to be the case with the eufy app in general.

      • yeah i think if/when all my eufy cameras need replacing I will prob just bite the bullet and go POE reolink.

All the Reolink Doorbells do it too ;)

They call your phone through the Reolink app by sending an app notification that you can tap to answer the call, allowing for real-time two-way communication (although need Reolink App v4.43 or higher and possibly a firmware update for your doorbell if it's old) …

Visitor Presses Doorbell > Doorbell triggers an event > App Notification (Phone receives an incoming call notification within the Reolink app) > Answer the Call > live view in app for two-way conversation

NOTE: Verify Push Notifications are enabled for App and within App

  • Tapo TP-Link D210 Video Doorbell Camera may be what you're after.

But I'm not sure what you mean by bluebooth.

Bluetooth in the car so it comes through as if someone is calling you, but its from your doorbell.

      • It does ring in the car like a call, but you can’t answer it like a regular call.

The reason is that you need to use the app to unmute and speak.
