Seems to be a great price , couldnt find similar cheaper, made of Polycarbonate.

  Haven't bought a Samsonite in 20 years. Cant remember if they are worth it? The no name random brands seem to last 5 years easily before breaking apart. Is the price justified on these?

    Samsonite is definitely worth it, particularly their soft shell 73h range. They're the Toyota of the luggage industry.

    You can always put a bit of extra in hand carry after boarding pass are issued, typically what i have seen is airlines are not too strict with hand carry on international routes … domestic may be …
    Overall i agree 3kg not ideal but sits somewhere in middle of weight range … lightest hardcase carry on are around 2.3kg or so
