Note that it only records at 4k when using the front camera only.

When using both front and rear together, front records at 2k and rear at 1080p.

Also i can't find any information about whether it has a battery or capacitor.
I'm hoping capacitor but not holding my breath.

I bought one anyways as the reviews and footage I've seen look great.

    • Interesting, thanks for the details. The description says it does 4k +1080 together. If only 2k with rear one then it is disappointing, i ll likely return if thatโ€™s the case.

  • I am on the lookout for something decent without breaking the bank.
Probably under $200?? I also need park mode as lately many people have experienced damaged car upon return from nearby shopping centre. And for that I need some sort of kit on top of camera, wiring itself. Question is how easy it is to install one with all bells and whistles. Not just when driving but also when parked. Toyota Corolla. If anyone can give me input..

    • Iโ€™m looking for similar as well.last time I was quoted 700 so I doubt it will be under 200. Letโ€™s hope we find something

DIY is definitely doable sub $200

When i go to the deal, It does say that all up with hardwire kit, which is required for park mode, it comes to just under $160. It also includes 256GB samsung card. The real issue is installing it so itโ€™s connected properly to fuse box without damaging battery. So we can get the whole thing for under $160 but installing it while connected to fuse box is challenge i am facing

Watch this video from about 10 mins

        https://youtu.be/6GNGQsQxROc?si=O3w_Hg7ait11pTfT

Happy to spend upto $250 but getting connected fuse box gonna be bit expensive as I am not handy with these things. Happy to go with other brand or model even

        • Fuse box, just buy a fuse tap that fits into the fuse box (different shape fuse), just pull 1 out and go jaycar and theyll get you the correct one.

  • Unknown brand. I wouldn't touch it. Just get one of the Xiaomi 70mai dashcam instead of this complete unknown

  • have one of these. For the money they are 'OK' ish. Cheap plastic. Main issue is the hinge which only allows up and down adjustment and can work loose over time.

I have the one up model D700 and I found it pretty easy to install, the quality of the software and video to be pretty alright. I got mine for about $100.

Took a risk on an unknown brand and lack of the starvis sensor everyone raves about, but I am happy with what I got. I have since bought a second one for my other car.

  • From the Amazon ad showing a 2.5K not 4K…. also confirm from one the review sample picture it's 2.5K + 1080p not 4K at all.

The dude rated 2 stars of not 4K

  • At that price just buy 2 of them. One for the front and one for the back . Then you do not have to worry about running a cable for the camera from back to front of your car which can be problematic in some vehicles. Just pick up an ignition switched 12 volt source in the back of the car to power it.
