Samsung Soundbar with Mounting Dreams Stands

I’m in process of setting up a 930d Samsung sound bar with the mounting dream stands md5402-04.

Can some tell me first up they seem to fit but mounting dreams provide size 1/4 screws or 18mm i assume when they say they provide screws for the Samsung they are the ones.
Mounting dreams don’t say they are but I’m sure i read they was due to how short they are.

Also for the love of me because I’m feeding the cable inside the stand how does one get this to fit as the silly L or t shaped bracket stops you from putting a cable in there.
It’s probably easy but I just can’t figure out how it’s supposed to fit under the speak let with the bracket there.
And I can’t see any vids showing this.

    screws pacific to Samsung

What's does the world's largest and deepest ocean have to do with Samsung?

    1/4 screws or 18mm

The manual suggests that these are the correct screws.

¼ refers to the thickness of the screw, 20 is how many threads per inch of length and 18mm is the length of the screw.

Are you feeding the cable at the speaker end like this?

    • Speaker cable attaches under the speaker not at the back of it as you have shown.
So I don’t get where the cable goes? I know it’s within the tubing ie stand but when you get the plug end to attach to speaker there must be a way feed it through somewhere as no matter what I do I can’t attach the speaker as cable gets in way.
It must be easy and there are lots of otters with same Samsung soundbar rear speakers but instructions show or tell you nothing.
It’s something so simple like this is stopping me from getting it set up and I don’t see any pics or vids to show where you feed it.

      • I have Mounting Dream stands with the Q990F - the cords come out a hole in the back right below the stand and then you put them up into the speaker through a notch at the back of the bottom edge.

Due to this design it's a little fiddly because you'll have to feed the cord through the stand and into the speaker before mounting it to the top.

        • It’s ok I worked it out in the end, I had watched a vid and it kicked me off track where as you feed the cable through with the L shape bracket, I must be getting old and noticed that it was different to what I have ie rear speakers.
Yes it was fed down the tubing but I was not grasping what happened after that, as I seen as mentioned that vid a cable getting pushed through base of the bracket and L shaped bracket.
It was only then I noticed it had nothing to do with what I had seen as mine yes is plugged into underside of speaker and comes out the end and is not effected by any other brackets.
Probably was overtired last night and quickly this morning though what a plonker I am.
