Cast iron cookware with a non-stick coating completely misses the point for me. Plain old properly seasoned cast iron cookware will easily outlast these if cared for correctly, and without the potential risks of PFAS (PTFE) exposure.

that sucks. Using cast iron wording to sell non stick..

      • I agree

Cast iron can be great, but coated with this crap? That makes ZERO sense (and is terrible for your health as well).

I thought the point of cast iron was to get hot, which non stick coatings definitely can not do.

this is up there with extra virgin canola oil

manu should be ashamed of himself!

They could coat it in ebola virus and these people would put their name to it for a payment

I actually totally missed the non-stick coating. Just brought it home to find this - a WTF for sure. It's going back.

    • Is it actually cast iron underneath? Go at it with an angle grinder to get the coating off, and then season it. A lot of effort though so may as well return and just buy a proper one lol

      • any good deals on angle grinders? :D

        • The old ozbargain rabbit hole haha

  • No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

If you’re serious about a great iron pan with a lifetime guarantee but don’t want the maintenance carbon steel, cast or wrought iron requires, check out this Aussie company, Yahgan, which goes live with their nitrided pan next month. It’s a different level of quality and price, but is impervious to rust, acidic cooking and required no seasoning. I’ve got no stake in the business but have been lucky enough to test drive a sample for the past fortnight and have never seen a pan like it.
