Seems like a good price for anyone who doesn't mind getting it from Amazon Germany and has a Fuji Camera. Not sure about its performance so you would need to do your own research on it.

DigiDirect Price $719.10 and seems to be around that price at the majority of stores.

  • 90mm would have been perfect!

I actually have this lens and currently on latest Fujifilm bodies (XH2S for example running 7.20), some features are broken and not working. The camera is not giving IBIS to the lens nor are AF.C Custom Settings having any impact on performance (no way to control speed of focus pulls for example).
Samyang's website currently offering no f/w update (which you will NEED the usb dock to address this issue if they finally fix it).
So just be forewarned, expect it to not work as intended in its current form on bodies running the latest f/w and if you do grab one… consider the Lens Station as a necessity at some point down the line.

This is a great price, I purchased this for $669 when it first came out from DigiDirect eBay but sold it soon after.

It's a solid lens, I loved how light it was…but it always seemed a tad soft at f1.8, but sharpened up at f2.2. What pushed me to sell it was that I liked 56mm lenses more, you needed to buy a separate dock for firmware updates (at a cost of $120 AUD) and there was talk that the focus ring would be used for aperture changes, but that never eventuated. It is a great video lens though, the autofocus is slow but smooth and the aperture changes when shooting video are nice.

As an alternative and if you're only focused on photos, I recommend the TTArtisan 75mm f2 - it just came out on Fuji X mount, and can be bought for $200 USD from AliExpress. It's heavier (~330gr) but is all metal and has an aperture ring. I recently got one for ~$220 AUD (after conversion + coupons + cashback) and honestly, the only downside is some weird lens flares and slightly washed out photos when shooting in the sun (the coatings on the glass aren't the best)…but it's on par with the Samyang in terms of sharpness, maybe slightly better at f2.

    • What I really want is a Fujicron 70/2, or even better a full on 70/1.4 LM R WR! There's a gap between the 50 and 90 that they need to fill!

Yeah, a 70mm would be great! I have the 50mm f2 for travel and love it because of the size, but I picked up the TTArtisan 75mm for portraits. I used to own the 90mm f2 but sold it because of how big and heavy it was on my XS-10 and also because I wasn't the biggest fan of that length. The 75mm is in-between, both weight and size-wise. It really does feel like a Fuji lens, albeit cheaper in quality - until Fuji makes that 70mm, I think the TTArtisan fills the gap nicely.
