    its no rolex

  • Pretty sure it has a Seiko movement in it.

Are there any similar design Seiko or Citizens that you like?

Cheap Seiko quartz movement, 50m water resistance and mineral crystal makes this a basic entry level watch.

    What's your budget?

  • Around $200-$250 . Thanks

I am getting fossil for $175

    • Fossil are basic quartz fashion watches & this one is only 50M. As a comparison today's Starbuy DOTD is this 100M Citizen Eco-Drive (solar) Chrono for… $299 delivered.

For the extra $ you won't have to worry about battery changes every few years & it's from an actual watch making brand. Build quality will be better.

Citizen Eco-Drives are known to run continuously for 20 years or more if looked after properly. Eco-Drive explained.

    Do you like the watch

    -> yes

    Get it

That’s it, that’s all you need to care about

      What do you mean?
Others opinion and perception of me is what we care about.

It's not even that. People need to be told what to do, or buy, or think nowadays.

Try it on in the store. Try the Crosby while you're there too. Looks like a Cartier Santos.

Always try a watch on before you buy.

If you like it on your wrist, and you can afford it, buy it.

    • Oh, I made that mistake recently… Bought yet another watch because I just liked the look of it, a North Edge Photon. For a cheap watch, it is one of the best I have ever owned… Until I put it on. It is much larger than I thought from the photos… but that isn't a big issue because I am a big lad with a big wrist… but holy shit, the weight. This is easily, hand down, the heaviest watch I have ever worn. I can wear it for about 30 mins and it's too much. It feels like I am carrying a brick around on my wrist, it is that heavy.

      • I was expecting it to be heavy heavy but the North Edge Photon is only 104 grams.

Time to do some bicep curls.

Regular stainless steel Rolex Submariner is 160 grams.

The Rolex Platinum Daytona isn't large but is heavy at 280 grams.

        • I guess too many years of wearing my Amazfit T-Rex series. But I don't know, I would have to weigh this Photon, but it is heavier than what I am used too and what I like.

If those other ones are heavier, I would definitely moan about wearing them.

          I'm not so much a watch "wearer" than I am a collector/admirer.

Fossil are categorised as fashion watches.

Same as Armani, or similar ones named after colognes etc.

If you like it go for it but you'll learn sooner or later that they're just a label.

    Maybe look at Seiko, Tissot.
