    Hey guys. Just confirming the original banner contained an error. Terms are definitely $45 for you (referrer), $20 for your friend (referred), and your friend has 180 days to earn $10 in cashback (excluding bonuses & VPN purchases).

    Also note that the $45 won’t appear in your account until such time your friend has achieved the $10 in pending cashback.

            @kajidzz: Was this for TCB? Because this was what happened with me on my ShopBack referral to my sibling - same reason, hence my question to TA. But I did check the T&C which stated 'The Tell-a-Friend referral scheme is intended to be used by individuals to promote to family Or friends.'

      Just clarifying that the random referral links that we have here on Ozb will get the $45 /$20(referred)?

      The banner is updated. I'm just not sure if the random referral links are the same link?

      Hi TA, quick question, if i refer a family member and they purchase a lyca sim, will the bonus earned from that count towards the referral spend? As it does fulfil the $10 cashback earned criteria..

              @trixieb: Yes would love clarification as i read their t and cs which say one per person, and we both are different persons so it should be ok i guess? Better to have clarification for joint families with multiple people in the same household sharing same internet but have their own devices

      TopCashback. Shopback security is bad and they got hacked before. You either not provide real details or not use it

        @neonlight Not sure if it's possible to use ShopBack without providing real details. To participate in the ShopBack bank bonus and Apple Pay offers, you will need to link your payment card details to your ShopBack account. To withdraw cashback, you also need to link your account details.

          In this case open a seperate no fee bank account but still need real name, otherwise PayPal? Ensure no funds on savings account where you withdraw to. If you have a secondary mobile number use that

      My experience with TCB has been so far so good; everything is tracked and paid (but can be slow sometimes), I cannot say the same about SB which has been a nightmare for me (YMMV), but having more than one provider in the market is good for consumers.

        Spending $20 is way easier than earning $10 cashback.

        TC always had the best rate but worse conditions for earning the bonus, now it's even harder.

        It has always been $10 earned for TC, the difference now is that it's 14 days instead of 180.

        Edit: It has been changed back to 180 days.

    No wonder Cash Rewards is folding. TCB has been killing it on the cash back front for a while now. TightArse seems to be the kingmaker for these services lol. Awesome work to the TCB team.

      But have to give kudos to CR for even approving all pending cashbacks.
      Normally users will just lose anything not yet withdrawed, much like bankruptcy scenarios.

        They are closing down the service and not bankruptcy. The previous one (can't remember the name) also paid out everything. Rewards point companies like flybuy still stays top after holding hands with onepass and big local retailers.

    This TopCashBack (TCB) interface is a bit harder to navigate but the most concerning one is the fact that they don't stipulate which codes are okay to be used for cashbacks and which codes aren't. Take Ebay for example. Usually, ebay's promo code like 20-22% discounts would be eligible for cashbacks but TCB is not stipulating whether these codes are okay to be used to attract cashbacks. I hope there will be better guidance on this in Ozb.
