I think I have this exact one. Installed roller blinds in a stairwell where chains were awkward. I love them. They're set up through the Tuya app to open and close roughly around sunrise or sunset, and I tweak the before/after depending on the season.
I bought the solar panel, but the instructions say not to leave them constantly charged because it wrecks the battery, so I'm not sure if the solar panel will do that. I didn't end up bothering with the solar panel. I bought a battery bank and connect it up overnight every 4-6 months or so. All in all I'm very happy, but it's the only "smart" appliance I have, so maybe I was easily impressed.

What size are Ur blinds ?

About 1.5m wide, and about 2m tall/long.
I also got 4 of them - dual roller blinds on two windows. All working off one RF remote or via the app.

blinds online also have something similar (and they'll change the size) - zero idea re: the zigbee

I have two units that are similar on 2 2.4m high x 2m wide blockout blinds. I charge the batteries every 5 months. The ease, speed and convenience is amazing and can't imagine using a chain. Game changer. Mine are Somfy and have a 5 year warranty.

I have 2 2.4m blinds running on these and both work really well. I charge them up every 3 months or so and sync well with a ZigBee controller in home assistant.

Oh this is what I was looking for. Ty

Thoughts on these vs the ones that move the chain for you?
I’m a bit wary of not have a backup option if the unit is flat/faulty.

Hello, there have different advantages for both of this 2 desgins
Advantages of Roller Shutter Motor
1.Looks more beautifly after install.
2.Higher load capacity – ideal for large or heavy curtains.
3.Quieter operation with less vibration.
4.More accurate limit positioning.
5.Safer for children and pets (no exposed chains).
Advantages of Chain Driver
1.Quick and easy installation.
2.Perfect for retrofit – works with most existing curtains, no need to replace or size aluminum tubes.
3.Can still be operated manually during power outages.
4.Simple maintenance and setting.
I've had all 3 of my zemismart tube motors seize/die after around 6 months each. I've had 0 failures with my 10 aqara e1 chain motors that I've been building up to for over 3 years.

How does this work with different width blinds? Says it's 435mm wide. Have people seen/used wider ones?

hello, need check the tube inner diameter ,and the weight of the blind, if it is a big blind, need consider a bigger motor, can contact our worker to check the suitable motor.

Says it's 435mm wide.
I'd recommend double-checking your measurements if you're ordering a new blind. :-)

Those blackout blinds were more than was bargained for…

It only goes part way down the tube, has to be at least this long or longer.

Hi, I have sent a message on WhatsApp to get some assistance with ordering these!

Hello, thank you for your interest. Our team member will be happy to assist you.

Are these direct ZigBee to the motor, or only via RF dongle? Will it be able to communicate exact position back to Home Assistant?

Straight to the motor, it works with the remote as well.

there appears to be a lot of models on the site and its not obvious what the difference is.
whats the difference between the one in the deal and this one as an example?
https://www.zemismart.com/products/zm25r3?VariantsId=17814is there any guidance to determine what size my current roller blind is to match the motor?
any installation instructions? do i need to use the bracket supplied vs what is on my wall now?
Hello, we have different types available for different tube sizes and weight capacities. You can contact our team for a step-by-step installation guide.

ok, ive sent a whatsapp message. my blind diameter appears to be 40mm so not sure if it fits.

Your link has a 16 channel remote and different end caps/mounts and lower torque (meaning it can not lift as large a blind as OP)

Sorry for the delay. Have you got an answer from our web team? It only supports up to 5 kg, so if it’s a large blind, you should choose another motor model.

I have a 40mm tube, blind weighs just under 5kg. Will this fit and work

Sorry for the delayed reply. Could you please send a picture of the tube diameter to our team so they can give you a suggestion?

Anyone have any anecdotal experience with these?
I wouldn't mind getting rid of the chains on my current automated setup
All of my blinds are 180 centimeter or more
