got this game on every platform and still haven't' finished it. PC ps5, mac

I’m the same with Alan Wake Remastered but I’ve finished it heaps

    • my fav of all times too. I found it most playable on Xbox (Series X, Elite controller) thanks to convenience of controllers additional controls (no pun intended) so I don't have to think "damn which button is Shield again??"

Xbox had this game going almost silently, as opposed to PC. Mac with M1 Max also plays silently but no controller there. I prefer Xbox (don't have PS so can't compare, maybe experience is great on it too).

amazing game. but I can't say I finished everything. I started the Foundation and got lost. And then got distracted for a couple weeks and then just couldn't remember what I was doing lol. If I play it again I think I'd rather just start a new game. it was awesome.

P.S. the side quest of the unknown entity looking for its "head" was the highlight. I almost died from laughter
oh and good luck (no pun intended) figuring out the casino / horseshoe / luck related puzzle without a walkthrough

    Thank you op
One of my fav after TF2.

Why not play some DOD (days of defeat) while you are at it :D

  • Really good game, played through it on xbox and had a great time.
Have not tried the expansions added in the Ultimate Edition though.
Ultimate Edition is on Game Pass atm so should maybe play through again?

    • +1

Yeah the DLC is some of the best levels.

    • certainly give it a go. AWE expansion is fun, and the Foundation is super beautiful, although I just simply got lost in it lol

I just bought this game from the recent Steam sale got just under 5 hours playtime.

It was fun for the first 3 hours, but man combat is so boring lol. The abilities are just, pickup item and throw it at a mob, use a rock shield and levitate zzz
Guns are so average too, the story was interesting but I've just gotten to the point where I am skipping all dialog and trying to breeze through the game to finish it.
The navigation is terrible too, the game does not really help you out with how to get to certain areas of the map, found myself just running around until I eventually go the correct way

With all that said, cant complain too much at buying this at the current price point.

    • I'm a huge fanboy but I will agree the map is utterly terrible.

Not to sound like a nerd, but it's intentionally bad so you stay in the world looking for signage and learning the layout

        • +1

I guess. Problem is some of the 'industrial' levels have a lot of similar looking grey corridors.

at least there's lots of locations to explore. I wish Nier Automata had this level of complexity. I love that game but that map is tiny and limits replayability

      • .. there's a map?

    GOTY.

Better than that Last of Something #2.

    • The Last of Us #1 was better.

      • ^ We have a winner! ^

      Control yourself

  • LOVE this game. No idea what was going on in terms of story. But the atmosphere and gameplay are elite.

  • Such a great game!

  • It was never this cheap on Xbox!

  • Wow what a steal for a great game

You can also snag Alan Wake ReMastered for $6.74

    • Yep which I have many of times now hahaah

      Such a great game!!

    • Yeah I bought both games even though I already have it on Epic Games on PC. Hoping one day they will remastered it again on the PS6 or 7 when I'm old and have more time to play it.

Lowest price ever for this one

It was free on PS+ in 2021

    • +2

Not free, just included in the subscription you were paying for at the time.

      • Yeah you'd have spent what, $400 plus to subscribe since then lmao.

  • Thanks OP, dedicated disc collector here but couldn't resist this as the first digital purchase! Installled already but only 27GB, sounds about right?
