One of the best protein bars IMO. High protein, great tasting, quite filling.
If in store you can get up to 5% discount if you buy 5, or 10% if you buy 10 or more.
If online, get 50% cashback up to $15 today only with this deal

I guess taste is subjective haha but I personally like them for what it is
Why are you eating collagen bars?
Collagen makes up a very large proportion of the protein (up to 50%) of the bar. This means potentially 22.5g of the protein in this bar is virtually useless for building muscle making the macros worse than almost any other protein bar on the market, or maybe I’m missing something and this bar is the greatest protein bar on earth and I’m missing out since no one seems to care.
You are definitely not missing something.
Exactly. The PDCAAS score is 0. Its being included in many bars and now protein waters. People buy it thinking its good for muscle building. It has its own uses, but definitely not anabolic.
Not sure about great tasting, they are dense chewy cardboard lol
i quite like these but my understanding is that these bars (and protein bars in general) are not good because they contain a lot of incomplete proteins? Can anyone with more knowledge on this topic perhaps shed some light?
From what I understand (could be wrong) I think its the collagen which this looks to have a lot on. Collagen is great for supporting skin, muscle, tendon etc so its not bad. But as you say its an "incomplete protein" in that it misses amino acids seen in full proteins (like whey?) that has extra amino acids that help more in muscle building.
I've never checked out this brand but usually ingredient lists are ordered based on amount present in the food, so I imagine this has more collagen then the other proteins.
Same $3.44 price on amazon but can't S&S for 10% off unfortunately, so better off hauling ass to the shop for $3 off.

First ingredient is collagen, so if you want pretty hair and nails - go for it. :)
I buy them, they are not bad, but let's not pretend they are high in protein.
Is there a better protein bar out there though? It doesn't bother me too much seeing as the 1.6g of protein per kg of bodyweight recommendation takes into account that 50% of that is from lower quality protein sources. Considering that, these are still decent, but if there's a better option I'd love to hear it.
Wow this looks great from nutrition side…almost none or less fillers..
@pyramid: Yeah they're crazy expensive though, I bought two boxes of Smart Protein Bar (same bar, different name) from a wholesale website and it still ended up being over $3 each
@exit: Can you share where you bought them from? I'm sure everyone in this chat would appreciate it!
@Harmont: I bought it from “Fresh Food Enterprises” but it turned out $41.50 per box + $16 shipping (bought other stuff tho). It is $42.50 here though so might be better: https://app.mrsupplement.com.au/smart-protein-bar
@exit: So just comparing the nutritional info on both these bars - the Cold Pressed Fibre Boost ones definitely have less carbs and more dietary fibre (depending on individual bars details). So not exactly like for like, and come in about 50 odd flavours too.
@rysith: I think it’s something to do with how the fibre is counted in the calories, in reality I think they are pretty much the same
@exit: Fibre Boost are $49.50 and Smart Protein are $42.50. So I wouldn't call them "crazy expensive". :) But a decent saving if buying bulk. Thanks!
Eat some cottage cheese instead. Slept on for protein/ carbs.
It doesn’t go well with my coffee hahaha
I have seen some people make chocolate yogurt or mousse from (I think) cottage cheese and it looked decent
Cottage cheese aren’t practical to bring on a long trip or to carry out for backup snacks. But yeah, I love cottage cheese with some minced beef. Goes great together
cottage cheese with some minced beef.
Can't tell if disgusting or genius
Yo, beef and cheese are classic mix! I usually use extra lean mince and cook it a bit on saltier side. The cottage cheese kinda replace the fattiness that otherwise might feel missing
But then again some people say i have a weird pallate lol
‘Great tasting’ lol. Lmao, even.
I love a Musashi High Collagen bar in the morning, but let’s not pretend they taste like anything beyond mushy sawdust.
