ty, was doing boy math.
Hey boy, what was the comment you deleted?
Yep do this as you can use the Switch 2 cartridge in the Switch 1 as well. Stack with the newsletter discount.
Might buy the Switch 2 version, originally pre-ordered from Jb hi-fi, but with how scummy they have been the last few years I might cancel with them.
Apparently the combat system has changed. Not holding my breath though….
I really hope so. PLA battle system is ass.
It was OK, it was just tuned around you maxing out your Pokemon's stats with items. If you didn't do that, you were underpowered and they never really explained how important they were/how much of a dramatic increase they offered. There were also charms that reduced the damage the player took from attacks that a lot of people didn't seem to be aware of (were also pretty damn expensive IIRC).
How are people feeling about this new Pokemon game?
Not released yet, check out the sentiment to Legends: Arceus for a likely reasonable measuring point.
If you don't care about Physical vs Digital, a NSO Game Voucher is 9,900 yen and you can get two Switch 1 games (ZA included). Works out to be $50 per game.
You need a Japanese account with a NSO subscription (joining a family works). You can get the Japanese Switch giftcards off Amazon JP with no markup on the price, and the Switch 2 upgrade is 1000 yen or $10 instead of $20 on the Aus store.
Asking for people who would be interested; would it have English?
Ah sorry forgot to mention, nearly all games released in multiple regions include all languages and it's usually based on what language your Switch is set to. I bought Scarlet/Violet and BDSP this way and play both series in English. I haven't seen anything to say that ZA will be different.
I used to collect most games physically, but overtime a majority of my games are digital and on this Japanese account. Even Donkey Kong Bananza and that only cost me $70 compared to the $100~ here in Aus stores.
Yep. If a Switch game has an English release, it doesn't matter which region you buy it from, it'll have English either as a selectable option at the start or by default because it's the language your console is set to.
Awesome. Thanks for the tip! I bought Mario RPG physical in Japan and was surprised it loaded with English lol. Good to know the digital is the same.
I’ve been trying to find a switch family to join - any tips on where to find one??
People used to post up for that on here pretty regularly. I'm not sure if it's stopped happening or if I refined my alerts so I didn't see all those posts.
The Switch 2 version is only $85, which is only $16 more than the Switch version. Not sure where you’re getting that from.
