Rovo Finance Website Review

Hi OzBargain community,

We’ve recently launched the website for Rovo Finance, a Sydney-based mortgage brokerage serving clients Australia-wide. We're focused on Home Loans, First Home Buyers, SMSF Lending, Personal Loans, and more.

If you have a moment, we’d really appreciate your thoughts on the site’s clarity, usability, and overall trust factor.

Any feedback—big or small—is welcome and will help us improve. Thanks in advance!

    So this is spam?

    overall trust factor.

    Pretty much ZERO.

The domain is registered to someone with a throwaway type email address and no contact name (either that or the shortest name in history)
Rovo Finance business was registered in mid~late June 2025
Domain was set up in mid July 25
Your marketing campaign consists of spamming message boards for leads.
Business appears to be operated out of a spare room in a house, not a shopfront type operation.
Getting your friends to write your Google reviews is a bad look, and possibly illegal.

    Any feedback

Yeah, get rid of that stupid cursor replacement animation you have on your site, it's annoying AF.
Do the banks know that you are using their logos and associated them with your business? I bet they dont.
Oh, and dont spam. It's not a good look if you are trying to instil trust and professionalism.

100% plus it is laggy if you hover through the menus.

      Brutal! thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, get rid of that stupid cursor replacement animation you have on your site, it's annoying AF.

I am not sure what do you mean. Are you referring the blocks which highlights when you mouse-over?

Do the banks know that you are using their logos and associated them with your business? I bet they dont.

Yes, there is accreditation process with each bank/lender. I am not even halfway through, so expect more logos there!

The cursor replacement is a little orange dot surrounded by a black circle. I agree with the feedback above, it's annoying and laggy.

        • Somehow this was not visible on my screen, have disabled the plugin now. Will be great to hear if this is still an issue.

          • +1

@rovofinance: It is fixed now. I had to reload the site, but that alloying orange laggy ball is gone.

As for your logo use, banks are pretty ruthless with their protections of their trademarks, especially with people purporting to be financial services and trying to make it seem like they do business this these banks. Just make sure you have your ducks in a row on this, because it can bite you on the arse, big time.

Again, the Google reviews look fake AF. They dont seem like they are customers, but more like friends giving a reference for a job. They dont feel organic and having only 2 isnt a good look. I would build that review base before I would be proudly displaying a link to it and having it read like my brother and my cousin wrote them. (Again, not to mention that getting "friends" to write fake reviews may be illegal under Australian Consumer Law.)

I don't really understand what Rovo Finance is (Rovo is Atlassian’s AI-powered offering) or what the Point of Difference compared to other Loan ̶R̶a̶n̶g̶e̶r̶s̶ arrangers is.

Saying you are Sydney based but offer Lending Australia-wide only adds to the confusion.

    • I don't really understand what Rovo Finance is (Rovo is Atlassian’s AI-powered offering) or

Just random name, playing with few things and thats what came about.

what the Point of Difference compared to other Loan ̶R̶a̶n̶g̶e̶r̶s̶ arrangers is.

      Not much!

Saying you are Sydney based but offer Lending Australia-wide only adds to the confusion.

Hmm.. there is no shop front and most of the lenders have either gone digital or are in process. So there is no need to restrict to a particular area.

So, the necessity or offer to "Find us on Google" with a large map serves no real purpose other than to invite us to look at 2 Google reviews (with the ink barely dry) that don't actually attest anything other than Jitendra being a good guy.

building trust! Agree on "ink barely dry"! Need to start somewhere.

I have updated Google to reflect whole of Australia, might take a while to update.

Update: Reverted back to original list. With whole of Australia, it shows me in the middle of Alice Springs and Cooper Pedy!

The blogs are already 5 years old on a new website. FFS.

    • Made by AI I bet

      • Thanks for sharing that! Based on the structure, tone, and formatting, this text very likely was written or heavily assisted by AI—or at least by someone using AI tools for marketing or informational purposes.

        Thanks bropilot

Yes, they are all GPTied with product details from specific lenders specializing in that area like "Reverse Mortgage".

Why do the contact details for complaints / disputes differ to the contact details shown on the website for your brokerage?
Also stamp duty calc is only working for NSW and Victoria, and only options First Home Buyer or Investor are offered.

    • +1

Complaints page says to contact the broker directly as the first step. Rest of it is escalation process, if broker's response is not satisfactory.

Thanks, I have taken that calculator down, needs bit more work.

      • Okay I was referring to this: You can make a complaint verbally or in writing by contacting your broker directly or by using any of the following: email [email protected]… etc…. which isn't AFCA details but not your brokerage either? I thought LMG was a tech platform that you can use to run aspects of the business as well as acting as aggregator; why would complaints go there in the first instance?
