    hi there! yes that system wont strip out any essential minerals.. the only way to strip that much from the water, is to use a purification method such as reverse osmosis. it will filter water down to 0.0001 of a single micron.. which also takes away the good minerals.. this means that good minerals are usually put back into the water, as the last step in the prcoess.
