Damn, the jack I just bought has gone even cheaper!
Rip, by much?
Which one did you get, the 1800kg low profile or the 2000kg standard? If you've had a chance to use it, how do you rate it? I've had a trolley jack on my to-buy list for 6 months now and need to commit
Paid $299 and went the 1800kg low profile as it's slightly more portable (aluminium) and has a larger lifting range. Generally you only lift one corner of a car at a time, but if you need higher capacity or want to save money, the 2000kg might be the way to go.
I haven't used it myself yet, as pretty much only just picked it up, but a family member has had the same jack for years and it is still going strong.
Good to know that it has longetivity, thank you!
It's a bit more than I wanted to spend, but the lifting range means I can get under and fully lift both cars from the centre jacking point when needed - borrowed a mate's last time and was constantly back and forth between both sides
@Elusive8985: 1800kg should still be enough for most vehicles, as you'd still only be lifting roughly half the vehicle weight each time (from centre jacking point). However, for larger vehicles, I'd still recommend only doing a corner at a time for safety reasons. It goes without saying; jack stands are a must before any work is performed.
Where does TTI fall brand-wise?
My guess us not as good as kincrome, but better than bunnings homebrand?
TTI own ryobi, milwaukee, AEG among other brands, so they have some runs on the board for decent tooling.
Thanks, good to know
