Least Terrible Pedestal Fan (with remote)?

My Celsius pedestal fan broke after two years, and I'm tired of having to replace them every other year… but it appears they're all like this.

Looking at the various Arlec fans and wondering if Bunnings' generous return policy works once it decides to stop spinning 18 months in. 🤔🙄

Don't care about wifi, but the 15 speeds seems like fun with this first one: 😄

  • Link 1 doesn’t work

Link 2 lists 12 month warranty … $59 I guess you could give it a go arguing for statutory warranty.

    all like this

I have 3 dynabreeze industrial fans from Bunnings for when I want to move a crazy amount of air and don’t care about the noise. Unfortunately quite power hungry. But still going strong 3 summers later.

I've been having issues with the Bunnings site with that item, for awhile it was showing up as "no longer available" but now it's fine.

Honestly, I want a fan that moves air and makes enough white noise to put me to sleep. 😄 But not sure if I really need to go industrial strength. 🤔

Does the statutory warranty cover it if it conks out after 12 months in?

  • Maybe buy something to actually last this time.

This one we’ve had 3-4 years going strong and highly recommended: https://amzn.asia/d/hMwhq3n

    • You don’t need to spend $200 to get ‘a lasting fan’.. you are paying extra for a useless feature of 360 degrees. Who is going to put a fan in the middle of the room?

      • I refuse to buy from Amazon (I'm one of those bleeding heart people 😅) so going to avoid that if possible.

        • But you'll buy from Bunnings?

any of the Vornado stuff, or the rec of Dynabreeze is a good one.

We've got a few of the DC pedestal fans from Kogan, not sure if they still sell them. Had them for many years and still going strong.
