50% Bonus Velocity Points on Singapore Airlines Flights
Velocity Frequent Flyer is offering a 50% bonus on Velocity Points on Singapore Airlines flights during the promotion period.
Yup looks like you need to book a flight. Not much benefit for most people unless they are flying within the promotion period, and for me I rather keep my points with SQ than velocity.
i thought that too until recently — the VA redemption rates on partners appears to be much more favourable (when there is reward availability) — eg: SQ @ 29K VFF vs 36K KF (MEL> SIN) or MEL > SFO via UA 61K KrisFlyer or 55K VFF.
clearly the premium cabins are where the highest yield is but Y redemption (when young kids involved) VFF seems at face value cheaper. I thought VFF taxes were slightly higher too
also note carrier charges for VFF are usually more vs KF isn't it?
But SQ has 3 years expiration though whilst Velocity is not as long as there is a transaction done in the last few years. Btw, there is a promo with SQ that they discount 20% points to claim saver flight.
