Price Check: 2025 Wally Lewis Medal Signed Football - Wally Lewis & Tom Dearden Signed

Does anyone have any idea what this would be worth? Comes with certificate of authenticity.

Won in a raffle so pretty pleased with that!

$25, if you get some metho and manage to get signatures off it, maybe $30

Truthfully, the value is in the perceived scarcity.

The business model with these items is that the memorabilia company gets dozens of bits of kit signed for pennies, puts them in a nice frame or case, mocks up a "certificate" in indesign to improve the perceived collectibility, and then puts a stupid retail markup on them.

Random signed sports memorabilia is pretty common in charity auctions for this reason - low cost to the memorabilia company, high perceived value for auction participants.

You might get some cash for it from some random Joe on ebay, but no professional collector is going to go anywhere near it.

If you like the item put it on a shelf in the mancave and be happy.

If framed with a $420 frame I would give you $420.69

  • Don't be a Wally.

  • Definitely worth more in QLD than in NSW.

Is it just the football with the certificate or does it come in a display box?
Football alone, I'd say probably a few hundred dollars, with the display case probably closer to $400

For reference a standard Steeden replica football is $70.
