Citizen BN0162-02X Eco-Drive Diver's Watch - S/S, Mineral Glass, 200m WR $299 ($274 w/ Signup Bonus) Delivered @ Starbuy

It's been a while since we've seen this Eco-Drive last featured and the price hasn't changed in nearly two years, so that's refreshing. I've got the matching BN0163-00H version and I really like the way it wears. Yes, it's a big 'un at 44mm but the really short lugs help it to wear a lot smaller, and being a quartz that means it's slimmer as well. The visibility of the hands is excellent and the lume is quite good. And, it's an Eco-Drive: 'nuff said there. The only downside is the polyurethane strap feels quite stiff so you may want to swap that out; hit up AliExpress where you'll have a good chance to find a closely matching colour in silicone or FKM.

Friday's StarDeal is good till next Monday 10:00am or until stock sells out (12 remaining at time of posting). Don't forget to sign up for the $25 bonus for new purchasers.

I usually like to reward the store offering the best price.

      • This, but also the store with decent service, like not cancelling orders due to their own "price errors" (days later and with no apology) - looking at you, Watch Depot and Shiels

For sure, most people would agree that the cheapest price is the way to go, but since SB's StarDeal is often the best price on the day it's easy to assume they're the only retailer worth considering and lose sight there are lots of other sellers out there. SB's standard pricing is actually in line with most other discount retailers but we don't always see that here on OzB. A lot of them are willing to come close to or match SB if you ask (.e.g. Watson's Jewellers are always willing to negotiate price) so it's good to widen the scope and offer alternatives.

  • the black gold you got is the stronger of the two options imo

  • I have this. Great holiday watch, especially if there are beaches or pools involved.

I quite like the 'colourway' (if that works with watches) on this. Hopefully this offer will come up next year when I'm not saving up for a holiday. Starbuy's service is great.
